Well done indy for quoting me out of context *ironic clap*

If you've bothered to read what I posted you would realise I was protesting over the hypocracy of one of the world's leading corporation. It just sickens me that McDonalds can get away scot free by literally saying: "Hey! Come eat our healthy, salt ridden chicken salads! While you're there, have another! Because your gonna stay and get fat playing on your DS at our place!" I'm a strong ideographic and free-will believer but there's always one person who doesn't know what's best for them. Then there's the person who'll exploit ignorance for their own wealth making typical massive lawsuit on the matter.

Yes I realise my hope is folorn and of course the world couldn't work this way, however, I still stand by my opinion of it being ridiculous and sickingly wrong.

Well at least they'll most likely die before you do.

Yes but they shouldn't! But McDonalds does nothing to prevent it and, if anything, promotes it. It's unfair.

I hope the wi-fi signal is long enough to sit in the cafe next door and play,

I'm probabaly going to get a ds.

I'm sure it'll go that far. Wifi signals have quite a good range.

I got a sales update for ya, for the people interested.

These are the most recent numbers, as of September 2005 (including sold units in all of September). Sales of DS and PSP in the United States.

DS - 2,240,895

PSP - 2,028,530

In the coming weeks and months will see some great releases for both DS and PSP, and a historic moment for Nintendo as they release the first online game ever on the Nintendo DS on the 14th of November. GTA:LCS for the PSP is also a big one.

Sorry guys, but sales mean squat.

Its well known that the first game console (or in this case handheld) that makes it to the market first usually wins the sales battle, since it is out first and no one person wants to wait.

Its happened with PS2. And it'll probably happen with the XBox 360.

And if I'm not mistaken (correct me if I'm wrong), but didn't the DS beat the PSP out onto the market? I don't follow handhelds that much anymore (I've outgrown them).

I don't know why people constantly always look at the sales for answers... when the answer couldn't be more clear. The above reason is why I read up on Specs instead of looking at the actual sale numbers.

A handheld/console can easily be better, but have less sales. XBox was better then PS2, yet PS2 STILL has more units sold then XBox (if I recall correctly). I don't even own a XBox and I'll at least fess up to that. Its all about winning the race to the market.

My prediction this year: XBox360 will beat PS3 out on market (thats a given), but PS3 will be better. Just watch and see.

Specs mean squat. I thought games were for entertainments sake.

You're right, seeing as it's not released till next year!

You're very right though, a lot of the sales figures are just overall sales. It would be interesting to see the slaes of both consoles since the release of the PSP, the same for the PS3 compared to the XBox360 (Oh and the uh...other one)

dreamcast came out before ps2, xbox and gamecube.

somebody said that the one that comes out first usually sells the best.

dreamcast came out first, most definently did not sell the best.

follow it now? :D

Well, I have both the PSP and the DS. When I got the DS I got wario ware and super mario ds. Super Mario was one of the best games ive played in a long time, I throughly enjoyed it and got about 125 stars :P I would probably buy a ds just for that game  Wario ware wasnt too bad, kept me amused on holiday. I got my PSP about 10 days ago with tony hawks underground 2 and burnout :revenge. Im finding both games good, with excellent graphics but Super Mario DS is superior just purely for the amazing gameplay. I purchased a 1GB card from play.com which arrived a week ago so I tested out the PSP's media capabilities. I found it was very easy to convert and watch videos on the PSP with very good qaulity intact. MP3s have very good quality although the earphones dont provide loud enough sound, but with Ipod or any other earphones the problem is solved.

All in All the DS is definetly worth getting for Super Mario DS imo whereas the PSPs games are good but I find the media capabilities superior.

The UMD Movies have GREAT quality and the picture quality is amazing.

And no lol why do you always want to get stuff from John Lewis. Its over ̣̉300 more then than what i paid.

John Lewis is a great, great shop.

Another update.

UK weekly sales (last week):

NDS: 30,000

GBA SP: 15,500

PSP: 12,900

Last 3 weeks in the UK:

NDS: 77,500

PSP: 39,600

OWNED. :P

Lol, even the old SP is beating the PSP. I thought that the DS would be getting pasted in sales, but it looks like Nintendogs, Pokemon Emerald, and Advance Wars have done the trick.

they both suck...

i played my ds for about a week before i got sick of it..

and my psp for about 1.5 weeks.. until i got bored.. *then i hacked into put roms on it :)*

psp is better beacuse - movies on them are good, and you can hack it :)

ds.. blah dual-screen gimick.. :P

otherwise i wouldnt reccomend either..

instead of spending 150 on a ds or 250 on a psp i'd rather buy something nicer and more usefull.. (i REGRET buying both of them) :(

What the hell? I bet your one of those people who buys a DS, and then buys some movie-cash in platformer, plays it for a week, realise it is crap, then comes to the conclusion that the console is rubbish.

Also, PSP isn't better just because it plays movies....
