RebelAssassin
im doubting some of these sales statistics http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/4218320.stm More than 185,000 were sold in its first four days in UK shops, say official Chart-Track figures. Rival handheld, the Nintendo DS, sold 87,000 in its launch week in March www.PETAkillsanimals.com
cadburys_egg
I think it depends on what people want. If people want a better games console, they get the DS. If they want a good games console which can do all other nifty stuff, they go for the PSP. Im sorry, what?!?!? PSP, IMO, outruns DS by miles! It can do all sorts of stuff, music, photo, game and more!
WutangFlu
they both suck... i played my ds for about a week before i got sick of it.. and my psp for about 1.5 weeks.. until i got bored.. *then i hacked into put roms on it :)* psp is better beacuse - movies on them are good, and you can hack it :) ds.. blah dual-screen gimick.. :P otherwise i wouldnt reccomend either.. instead of spending 150 on a ds or 250 on a psp i'd rather buy something nicer and more usefull.. (i REGRET buying both of them) :( What the hell? I bet your one of those people who buys a DS, and then buys some movie-cash in platformer, plays it for a week, realise it is crap, then comes to the conclusion that the console is rubbish. Also, PSP isn't better just because it plays movies.... who are you to judge my opinon. i say both are crap, and if i had to choose one it would be the psp. you dont know ME so stfu. Yes, the PSP sold extremly well the first week but after that week sales have plumited in comparison to the DS. Thats what the facts everyone else posted are saying. South44
DS came out before PSP in Australia...so maybe that affected its sales.

(havent seen it put to good use yet) and nintendo just tries to get you with gimicks.. just look at the controller for the revolution. and there's barley any good games for either system.. only good ones i've played are ridge racer for psp, and meteos for DS

Ruzbeh
If you think the revolution controller is a gimmick, your in for a shock. Two screens + touchscreen does not equate to remote-shaped controller with motion sensing technology. It's no use Ianbur, he won't listen anyway. Doritokiller
I prefer a DS, the battery life lasts a lot longer than the PSP. The PSP can play movies, but it can barely go through 1 movie without being charged. The DS can survive getting dropped, stepped on, and flushed down the toilet. The PSP can't survive getting stepped on. The DS is aimed towards games, while the PSP is more of a media thingy. I read a poll that more people are satisfired with their DS and PSP, and that the DS sells more.
topham
one thing i've been pointed out by a freind, is the complexity to play the ds as he is purely right handed and finds the ds awful to use if he is moving around as it is increbibly awkward to use if you're not left handed or ambidextrous. -Destroy Topham-
