Sure some people prefer the trick to the treat and even if it's against me, if it's practical, I can laugh along with you, but when you try and destroy property that isn't yours, I'm going to defend it. Apparrently I was still raging all day because my dads car got egged last year and that pissed off feeling came back for whatever reason. Oddly enough, this year nobody handed out toothbrushes, apples, pencils, or printed bible verses. There was a guy with a giant sign in his yard that said "No candy, be safe!" which is the house that I am sure will have toilet paper strewn over it tomorrow morning. It's like they don't understand the concept of saying 3 words, recieving candy, then saying thank you! Instead they just look at you with their bag open expecting you to give candy while their parents egg them on to say the words. That shouldn't have to happen. When people came for candy, while they at least said "Trick or treat", they were all cute little cartoon characters. Now I don't expect a little 4 year old to dress up as Jason Voorhees, but c'mon people, when you walk up to me in kid friendly, store-bought costumes, you're not going to get as much candy as someone who was creative and made their own, scary costumes.
