Photo of the Month 6- Freestyle!

 

Freestyle. Whatever goes, be it abstract to landscape, macro to humour. Hey, anything except nudity. TIF won't let me have artistically nude shots <_<. So fire up those memory cards, charge your batteries and turn on your camera, because Freestyle POTM is here.

 

There are two sections:

 

Non-Edited

Edited (Photo-Manipulation)

 

That means something Manipulated or Not.

 

Non-Manipulation = Photographs taken with a film or a digital camera featuring a minimal amount of colour and exposure adjustment.

Manipulation = Photo manipulations are images that have been composed of two or more photographic elements to create something new.

 

The Rules:

 

1. Everything has too be your own. That means any photos, manipulated or not, have to be yours.

2. When you submit a photo, make sure you say what category it is in, and pm to me. No anonymity here sorry.

3. No more than one photo is too be submitted for each category.

4. Have fun.

 

How to Vote:

 

Basically you can vote twice, in the sections Edited and Unedited.

2. Sally - 2 points

3. David - 1 points

 

You have to use this form or your vote won't be counted (makes wongtong's job easier).

Yaaaaay finally! I may enter or I may not. Digital painting has taken priority over my photography as of late.

Time to blow the dust of my camera :)

Last night I was at a bonfire, and it started to rain, just before the fireworks. So I tried a floodlight shot, and I think it turned out alright (it's unedited besides decreasing the dimensions).

Or not, it's just v underexposed for effect. Probably in a garage with no ambient light source, small light over head, low iso, small aperture, shutter speed for what ever. Or he could have used a strobe for the same effect. It's not all that difficult to pull off in reality, you've just gotta think about it. Love the shot btw :D

Me too. A wee bit of light would of been nice. I broke my [bleep]ing memory card the other day.... SO maybe no photos from me.

It's exactly as you say remote, except that it isn't a real car. It's just a miniature one (but it's quite convincing eh?) :lol:

It's pretty easy to setup too. I only used a black shirt for the background and a flashlight on top.

The only other thing is that you need to try your way through and find a shot you're happy with. Here's some examples of the process I made.

And to finalize, if slight brightness adjustments doesn't count as a manipulation then I'd like to update the current photo for this one

Haha, awesome.

I was definitely thinking of doing some pictures like that for my dad for Father's Day :lol: He LOVES cars and has a bunch of miniature ones (as well as real ones :o). I was thinking of putting a piece of glass under the car to create a cool reflection as well.
