Hegemony Argument Thread

Featured Replies

Thanks Mather,

I think if I get one or two more people I can write up the rules and a little introduction text.

I think with idea stealing that would mean that you could just beat people up instead of research, and if you do research it'll be weapons, weapons and more weapons.

If we start with no technology we'll have a much more cultured world when we hit 2010 IMO.

Mather, but what if everyone joins to phoenix and they kill the black arms?

Then Phoenix would be force divided again.

And maybe techs as reward for beating NPCs, but not players.

No NPCs as random events? I would preffer that it was, like the Urk-Orz only less invincible.

I meant for random events there could be a rebellion or a peace parade or maybe a worker production increase due to it bieng really sunny or something.

You mean something like godzilla? something you have to fight? We could have something like that but i'm struggling to think of the something like that which would occour naturally.

How can there be screaming matches when the math is there to prove someone is right/wrong? Do not understand.

'Tis I, 'tis Vindice, 'tis I!

Bump, can someone else fill out the questionare please and also try and find a borderless line drawing map.

Hex, there won't be another Hegemony while the Empire thread is active. We don't have enough players to split like that.

its also why i dont play. if you make a more simple hegenomy, then yeah, maybe illl join. also, dusty, you forgot me: lul. im actually decidding to join, against my best wishes...

You aren't exactly a regular hegemony player.

okay, thats a reason that i understand.

I would join another Hegemony while playing Empire, if the Hegemony started on Earth. (Can't really have two space games!)

The only difference between a disagreement between friends, an argument between strangers, and a feud between enemies is the ability to reconcile.

Yeh, if the new hegemony starts people will leave Empire, its missing out quite a few fun parts of the hegemony!

I have to agree with dusty on this one, hex. Let's wait for empire to die, Which it will very soon. Also, hex, I like you more now than in the first hegemony, but I'd prefer someone a little more, IDK, stable nodded. I'm @ my grandparents house this weekend, And they have a decent computer, so I'll draft up my version of hegemony. I think I'll give it a slightly more structured combat system, With unit strengths and such, but they will only be guidelines for comparing to other similar units. Fore xlexample, a battleship may have 90 attack, and modern infantry may have 30 attack, but 3 infantry will not beat a battleship.

Will you finally be active, trol? And will there be a moderator?

I'll be active. Rocco's running it, and probably being the main mod. I'm willing to be an assistant mod, unless someone else wants it.

So have we agreed on a borderless earth map? I'll find the wikipedia one and post it soon.

Mather, because it already has buildings on it - if there was a way you could get rid of them it would work.

I already thought about it.

A little large, but it's incredibly detailed. I'll change water blue later when I'm not on my touch.

EDIT: how does it look posted? Apparently mobile safari doesn't like .png

Try using historical photos and go back to 1930, there is for some reason not a trace hof humanity there then.

I don't get how we would get borders on it tho.

Trol, thats exactly what I wanted :)

To make borders you need to use the colour of which your country is to draw a line, then you need to make sure that none of the paint can escape those lines (IE no holes)

Then fill it in with the paint tool, its simple

Just resize it on paint, you press CTRL if you want it to stay the same ratio I think.

Please don't tell me we're going back to the 1930s or 1960s, it would be hell trying to find the figures for everything.
