stevepole Posted November 29, 2009 Share Posted November 29, 2009 Basically all week I've been opening up Illustrator and trying to learn what everything is and where things are so tonight I decided to my first tutorial to learn how to basically make something in Illustrator. I did this tutorial on how to "Create a Happy Sun Character.." The difficulty was intermediate and the estimated time was 30 minutes to an hour.. It took me about 3 lol. If it wasn't side-by-side with a perfect one, no one would ever notice :rolleyes: Practice making things without meshes and gradients.I took a look through that tut; its definately designed to take no drawing talent :PGet good with the pen or pencil, and you can make 40x better things. You can only do so much with the shape modification tools. Overall, a very very clean piece. Looks great.
