AThousandLies
I hope Crazy Frog is another One Hit Wonder ... or I'm going to be very angry. He's been banned from TV until after 9pm by the TV advertising watchdog :D It's a shame the maker of such an atrocity hasn't been banned from breathing ... Bubsa
Ah, perhaps I should have mentioned these were One Hit Wonders in the UK. I gathered Train would be popular over the Atlantic. I also hear Martine McCutcheon is huge in Romania. @Ryan: "Doesn't Count"? Fine then, your Semisonic one doesn't count. Secret Smile was and still is a celebrated song here. I'm not saying he is bad because of that or anything. But he truly is a 1-hit wonder Random? No, this is a post about one-hit wonders. If you mean hits as in chart positions fair enough, but in terms of songs everyone knows, how about Voodoo Chile, All Along The Watchtower, Purple Haze and Star Spangled Banner? All classics that most people know. How about Witch Doctor by the Cartoons? There's quite a lot here. http://www.scbd.connectfree.co.uk/flops/index.html Just goes to show how many there have been, just in one decade. niner
MC Hammer- You Can't Touch This (Maybe? I wasn't sure if he would be considered one or not  Well he had more than 1 popular song. If i remember right "2 Legit 2 Quit" was another and there might of been a third that i cant remember the name of right now . And on Roy Orbison with "Pretty Woman", thats a bit like calling Deep Purple a 1 hit wonder with "Smoke on the Water" even though i dont think it charted :?. From what i found "Black Night" went UK top 3 but thats it for Purple. Anyway, "Smoke..." was far from their best song (not even top 3 on the album it came out on) but everyone and their brother knows that riff even if they may not realize who it is lol. And then they have other wellknown songs for those who are familiar with Purple and those songs would be "Highway Star", "Woman from Tokoyo", "Child in Time" etc
