I'm about to reach L85 slay (1.5k away from it) but I wonder...

Of course I'll slay now till I get my first whippy, but tip.it says u can use the fairy circles to tele to another place where there are multiple abyss creatures...

Is this a good spot or will Canifis tower be a better place?

the abyssal plane (using fairy code) has a few abyssals. The ones in the slayer tower are much less spaced out, so easier to kill. You may have to switch worlds to avoid crowds, though.

 

If you don't want to camp them (there are better ways to make money then camping abyssals) get slayer tasks from the new master, kuradal. She has a "private" dungeon where you can kill abyssals, and thus avoid crowds. Down side is that you can only slay any of the creatures there when you are on task, and the task has to be assigned by HER.

Yea, I also don't find those demons in that abyss realm good. I never even experience trouble killing abby demons in the tower :)

Although you might be correct, switching worlds over and over again takes too long and you will end up in "crashing" a world in the end anyway. If everyone waits like 20 seconds after a kill, 1 world can easily take 5 people killing abby demons. And if slayers don't like it, they still have kuradal's dungeon (if you have 85 slayer, you can use kuradal :) )

Not everyone at the tower is a camper, and even campers go eat sometimes etc; waiting won't happen all the time and in my opinion if they want to stick to lapalok so desperately, they should just take the disavantages with it too :)

Well, let's see..There's a high probably that the campers will be there longer than you, whilst there is the chance of them leaving, it's still pretty bad. Chances of another Slayer being there are lower, so it is mostly people in camping gear.

 

So, let's take it to a more "realistic" level. Say for 100 of your kills there are 5 people, and the other 50, there are only 3.

 

100*20=2000

2000/60 = 33.333*

 

In other words, 33 minutes and (roughly) 33 seconds worth of waiting. It's still a long time of waiting, and it'd be good for people to actually show a little decency and hop, rather than overcrowd a world.

I encounter more trouble with campers at the Abyssal Plane than I do the Slayer Tower itself. If people are truly getting on your nerves, switch to a foreign language server. German servers always seem to have one or two spawns open when I switch over, though I rarely need to.

Abyssal Plane is fairly easy to find an empty world for, plus if you don't full understand the language of the server you switch to, it can make playing just a little bit harder.

The same can be said about finding an empty spot at the slayer tower, however. And, if you don't find the two good spots in the plane, your combat will be interrupted by other denizens of the abyss, whereas you won't encounter that problem in the tower.

 

When it comes to languages, I understand your point. I think though that sometimes people underestimate just how often they play the game. Most options like "Attack" and "Run here" are second nature. The confusion comes with the drops. That's just an observation, though, not really an argument. The point still stands :P

Yeah, the confusion does come from drops mostly, which would deter most players, even though you'd be surprised how easy it is to recognise some drops.

 

That being said, usually you'd need to hop once or twice for the Abyssal Plane (I used to use W31 or W53 for them, since they're usually empty), whilst you can be hopping 3+ times til you find a decent Slayer Tower world.

The plane is nice once you find a certain few spots in it. I'm not going to reveal them (wouldn't even know how to describe them) but do some exploring and you'll find them. Careful not to pick a spot with the aggresive abyssal monsters, the two lower leveled types won't attack you unless you have a very low combat for a lvl 85 slayer.

 

If you want to go to the tower, there's one very important thing to remember which everyone else never does (why? I don't know... Perhaps they're a lil' stupid after watching me KS them a hundred times). Bring AIR STRIKES. the auto cast update made it a little less convinient but it's still worth it. When you're waiting for spawns, have air strike at the ready. Almost everyone there uses melee so you should be able to get pretty much every single abby demon spawn. Crowding issue = Solved.

I really hate it when people do that... But it is effective.

 

Like I said, use the tower, bring air strikes if you want to annoy people away.

That's based of that RSOF log of 10k abbys.

If you're camping, stick to the tower. Leave the abyssal plane alone for slayers. I've almost never run into campers there.

 

Of course, now that I use Kuradal, your camping doesn't affect me, but try and be courteous to people who actually need to be there.

When I used to camp Abyssal Demons, I always used the Abyssal Plane. I used a spot on one of the sides, mid-west I think (if I remember the orientation right). I almost never competed for spawns. People always use the more centristic spots, like the one just directly north-west of the Fairy Ring (there was usually a white dot on the edge of my mini-map).

Was exactly gonna say that. Yesterday (after reaching 85 slay) I wanted to farm these ofc as a reward for my patience.

I farmed 50 or so till the Christmas update took please. After that I did the event with some RL friends and now I'm working on other skills.

But if the event wouldn't have been there I would have continued farming the demons.

Anyway, maybe later. But like stated before: you make better cash at dragons than at demons... I've calculated my invent value based on the +- 50 I did and it was way less than killing 50 blue dragons :)
