I've found there is certainly enough down time over here to squeeze a few hours into this game, so why not?

There isn't a whole lot to do around here when we aren't on missions, go to the gym, waste money at the PX, chill with the homies, spend too much time on Facebook.

Havent played full-fleged in over a year, lots of new things going on in the game I see.

Well this was an introduction to me.

You can add me : D I L L O N

Just to chat, talk about life, the Army, Iraq, anything.

"Oh, no room for Bender, huh? Fine! I'll go build my own lunar lander, with blackjack and hookers. In fact, forget the lunar lander and the blackjack. Ah, screw the whole thing."

Oh cool, what other games do you guys play while in Iraq?

You're only 19 doing a job in somewhere remotely foreign and dangerous, :( I'm 19 myself and studying at uni...not at all independent as of yet,

Nice pic mate, although....cut down on the smoking eh? Its not good for you. :)

A buddy of mine in RS got back from Iraq a few months ago.. He said the internet over there was so slow it was impossible to do much besides browse the web, how is it working out for you? Laggy at all?

Anyway, stay safe! How long have you been over there?

intro topics are typically bad and are met with a lock - however I believe this post is unique enough to warrant it being unlocked since it sort of covers playing Runescape while being deployed and people are seemingly being interested in asking questions about scaping on active duty - I think this may have some potential for discussion. I'm not really "Reversing" what mirror did - because his lock was appropriate -but i'm playing with fire and making an administrative call to reopen this one because I think this could turn into an interesting discussion. I'm going to leave this thread in General discussion for now, however if it goes off-topic then it'll be moved to another forum.

Now to start the topic rolling again - Do you find it wasy to play over in iraq? Two friends of mine were deployed (Both navy I believe) and said the connection was so awful that they could not really play due to the lag.

"Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable - a most sacred right - a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world."

I never thought that I'd see someone deployed in Iraq playing RS in their off hours. We're all pullin' for ya here on the homefront.

Heh. Just be glad you're in Iraq and not in Afghanistan. Good luck trying to find fellow RS players at Kandahar... XD

First of all, thanks for serving our military! I have a few friends who have served/are serving. I might end up going to West Point, but we'll see.

Very interesting to know the lifestyle of soldiers. Likewise, it's interesting to know that you guys have enough time for leisure.

I wish you luck!

It's nice to see runescape players from all aspects of life playing the game...

It's also nice to know you guys have leisure time... From whats being betrayed in the media It seems all action :P

Good luck serving.. I might be joining you out there in a year or two ;)

Sorry, I find myself believing that you're not in Iraq because your lack of posting. That might just be because I'm an [wagon].

If you're really there fighting for our country, good for you!
