Jen attempts to pierce the shield around the amulet with an ice spear, standing far enough away that the spear can't rebound and hit her. Also, she gathers up more ice shards around her.

Her ice spawn, back at the tower, attempts to learn to use a freezing ray.

Grim attempts to summon 10 targets of stone. Then he takes a quick breather.

I attempt to create a flight of stairs that widen the closer to the top they get, in an upside-down cone shape.

Umbra-

Jen-

The shield doesn't budge.

 

What do you mean? If you think I'm keeping track of guardian xp as well...

 

Grim-

You succeed, but the rocks shatter almost immediatly due to poor casting.

 

Hakon-

You succeed, +.2 geomancy.

(Not keeping track of guardian exp, but giving it the capability of using freezing rays. Guardians don't really roll for difficulty, but I think that they have to learn what they're doing first. So he's attempting to be able to fire freezing rays.)

 

Also, I have to go now. Can Archi take over if he's not busy? If not Archi, I'll let Grim take over with Jen (since he's a fire mage, so he probaly understand magic)

Umbra drops the crystal (i know this will have a few actions in it, so f it if im carrying that, as walking back to ivory is only one action)

 

Umbra goes to the pedestal in the banquet hall and places the gem inside

 

Also did I get any xp at all for shooting all those spells at the guardian, sorry, I just need xp.. I did die 5 times, the next person under me died twice I think

Jen-

Umbra can take your character over, but nobody else. Guardians still roll for difficulty, as well.

 

Hakon-

The hole is 7 meters deep.

 

Umbra-

Pretty sure I gave you xp the last time you used spells. You didn't use any spells in the last two or so attacks though.

 

As you place the gem in the pedestal, the pale blue flames begin to roar a deep scarlet colour. The runes on the walls begin to glow very brightly, and you can see the outline of a human-sized suit of armour across the room. It seems to be bound by ethereal chains.

 

Ares-

Attempts to infuse the ruby adorned silver mask with dark energy. He almost succeeds, but the energy jumps out of the mask and disperses into the air.

Grim grabs his things (aside from the cash and the shortsword) and ventures to the ivory tower upon a cold-fire stallion with golem and elemental in tow. Once there he asks the master if he may have the honor of training there.

Grim-

He tells you that you must first dismiss or otherwise send your guardians away from the tower.

Umbra

 

If its chained by its arms, I try to slash at it with my sword

 

If its not by its arms then I attack from afar, keeping far away from the chains as possible with dark magic bolts

I attempt to make the hole three meters deeper at least, continuing the stair pattern.

Igos attempts to burn the scorpions to a crisp at the quarry. Archarnis tries to create another small sun to burn the scorpions as well.

Grim sends his guardians around a mile away.

Umbra-

The entity cannot move to attack you, so focuses it's energy on blocking, which it does so. The chains are all around it. You note that the figure lacks a helmet, and indeed, lacks a head. It also carries a large, 1.5 metre long lance with just one hand. You remember reading about something like this in a book once. It is a dullahan, you realise, as you note the ghostly severed head underneath one of it's arms, with a demonic grin on it's face and hair that burns like an otherworldy flame. It's armour is tinted green, and it has a cape which seems to be made of aquamarine blaze, and it has a mist around it which chills you to the bone.

 

Jen is nowhere near powerful enough to create Ethereal chains.

 

(2 bosses in this cave. Reward is worth it though, if I don't say so myself.)

 

Hakon-

You succeed.

 

Igos-

You and Archarnis kill the next group of scorpions. Only the king and the four around him are left. Igos gets +.1 pyrokinesis, Archarnis get's +.1 Solarmancy.

 

Grim-

The master says that you may learn there for a while. You gain .4 xp in any magic.

 

Ares-

Attempts to infuse the ruby adorned mask with shadow again. He succeeds. The mask will now create a thick shield of darkness when my life is in danger. +.2 dark magic.

Jen

Not ethereal... ICE

 

 

Umbra

I back away far...

Håkon attempts to make a 10*5*3 meter (width-lenght-height) cave at the bottom of the shaft.

Igos tries to summon skeletal arms to hold down the king scorpion, while archarnis attacks the last group of scorpions with a solar flare.

Umbra-

 

The Dullahan shatters the ice chains with ease.

 

Hakon-

You succeed, albeit quite clumsily. No xp.

 

Igos-

The scorpion king breaks free and lunges at you. It hits you dead on and deals quite a heavy wound.

Archarnis kills the nearby scorpions. +.1 solarmancy.

You know I cant defeat this dammit.... I dont want to lose all my damn xp again >.>

 

Dullahan is hard to kill :<

 

 

Umbra removes the gem from the pedestal and makes a break for it to the other pedestal (if my theories right it should have a similar guard range)

 

Jen follows

Looks like you will need back up if you want to destroy this guard... Grim takes the xp in fire magic.

EDIT: He then goes to the entrance of the cave and starts milling around throwing disc's of light at trees.

Ross, now I'll need some help, I plan to use one of the power stones to create a replica of the RS dragon forge. And as I sugguested, one must be two to get them.

Igos retreats back a little bit, and uses his pyrokinesis to burn the scorpion's stinger to a crisp, to render it useless. He orderes his bone wolf to attack the scorpion from behind. Archaris usues a solar flare to devistate the scorpion's legs.
