Dungeoneering

Alright, so I swim across and out of the dungeon, then I walk to Exile. I train someone in the Exile guild for 50 gold (for my ice magic level), then I go to the inn to rest for the night to heal my hands. (Is that basically all I can do for the rest of the day?)

I walk to Exile and work as a carpenter for some money.

[Nero]

I burned the Inn down.

[Retech]

Then how do I get the use of my hands back. <_< Archi said I was supposed to rest at the inn. After all, supposedly healing magic can't work on a pair of broken hands, but it can work for a fatal wound. So what am I supposed to do?

I am just doing my coursework, I will be done as soon as possible.

The Inn probably still has some rooms(After all water magic), though now the prices are up at 20 Gold Peices a night.

[Retech]

Alright, so I go and rest in the inn. (Is that all I can basically do for the rest of the day? Like Real Life day)

Psst Dusty, may I please have 15 gold pieces to recoup the expenses I've incurred as the result of the inn burning down? :D

[Seraphi]

Ares awakens, swims across the room and exits the dungeon. Upon arriving at the town, he goes to the shop and buys:

 

- Sturdy Leather Boots 10GP

-1 Bracer 20GP

 

Ares has 30GP left.

 

Ares goes to sleep at the inn. He has 10GP left.

[Nero]

I already gave you money Retech. I only have 114 gold left anyways.

 

Oh, and who wants a longsword and a kettle helmet (don't need since I stole a bascinet)?

[Seraphi]

I'll take the longsword, if you're offering it.

[Nero]

/Nick gives Ares a longsword

Ares thanks Nick enthusiastically and limps (Stupid crushed Pelvis. Wait sec, did I kill the boss of that dungeon by myself?) off to get some sleep.

Ooooh, kettle helm bitte!

 

Oh, I just saw that you gave me 15 coins earlier. Exactly the increase of the cost to the inn. Thanks Dusty! :thumbsup:

/Nick gives Jan a kettle helmet, since Mather's character is still in the starting room of the dungeon picking his nose.

The Kettle Helmet could be useful for things other than a helmet. Perfect for a box trap anyone? :D

Upon waking, Ares departs for the entrance to the krypt, waiting for the door to be opened.

[Retech]

Oh, sleep can be that short? Can I assume my hands are all better now? If they are, the following happens:

Jen departs the next day from the inn, glad to be away from the structure, which is close to structural failure. She runs into the forest, eager for some fresh air and exercise. First, she attempts to cut a twig off a tree with her knife, using it to make a box trap with the kettle helm, which would fall when an animal tipped over the stick. She set a small acorn that she found on the ground under it, with a small trip wire.

Afterwards, she spotted an elk with large antlers wandering in the forest. She creeps up slowly and attempts to fire a strong freezing spell at the elk, aiming to freeze it completely. She attemps this one more time at least, then runs up to try to stab the elk with her knife.

[Nero]

Nick follows Ares to the Crypt, waiting for the GM to open ze door.

[Seraphi]

Ares asks Nick if he wants to join forces. "we split all loot 50/50, and rare items will be decided by who needs it most or a roll, what do you say?"

[Nero]

Sounds good to me.

 

I also bought a mule in town (well..."borrowed"), and it's tied up outside the crypt. Anyone can use it once we get out of the crypt to carry loot to the next town or whatnot (where hopefully word of my nefarious deeds have not reached the ears of the townsfolk).

Well actually exile was pretty much the only town for quite some distance.

Anyway I am stuck for the last 400 words of a 1,700 word portfolio. It is driving me up the wall so I am gonna spend another 17 minutes on it then give it up till tommrow.

[Retech]

Alrighty.

 

Jen spots Nick and Ares near the door of a crypt and calls out to them. "I would like to join your party. I don't ask for any loot, but I would like any experience awards, if that were possible, and enough money to spend the night at the inn."

[Seraphi]

"Well, if you're just after experience, which we'll all get anyway. I guess it's alright, you'll have to see what Nick says thought." says Ares.

[Retech]

"Well remember that there Rocco? He got .5 free experience for exiting the dungeon first. Also, if we ever kill another monster, like that Kraken you killed, I'd like to take some of that as well. Not the "loot", but just random things we find in the dungeon." said Jen.
