Hmm grim attempts to wake up. If he is rested he then goes on his journey.

Grim is not rested yet (10 minutes)

Ares tries again to move some of the rocks off of the person.

Ares makes some progress, but some of the stones seem impossible to shift.

Igos returns to Ikana, and practices with his burning-glass, aiming at some more birds.

Igos-

With some practice you manage to annoy the birds so much that they dive bomb the mirror, splattering it with droppings.

Ares tries to split the heavier rocks into pieces using geomancy.

Ares fails to break the rocks open.

Igos fetches some water, and washes the mirror off. He then covers the lens & mirrors with several of the large, empty sacks that were used to store sand.

Igos cleans the mirror...

Grim awakens and continues on his merry way.

Ares tries again to break the rocks, being careful not to injure the person below.

Grim wanders across a procession of midnight monks.

Ares again fails.

He says a cheerful hello to them and remarks upon the lovely weather before continuing on (how many encounters till the altar ?)

Igos begins working on a clockwork mechanism, designed to tell the time, he works on it for the rest of the day/night.

Grim

The monks eye you strangely considering it is dark. They continue on their merry way, chanting about something or another.

 

As you continue to wander around the woods you have the distinct feeling you have got lost.

Igos-

Igos starts work on the mechanical device. What are you making it out of?

I attempt to orient myself using my tower as a point of reference before continuing on as per the instructions.

(Failing because of low rolls, or just because I can't?)

 

Ares tries to break the rock into movable chunks again.

Grim-

You continue to wander about, having followed the instructions to the letter, but not found the life alter.

Ares-

(Well its not a 20...and otherwise you can't.)

 

You make another small inroad, but nothing substantive, as the rock moves it crushes a lower down one and the whole structure of rocks crunches down a bit further.

Iron.

I take the crystal out of my pack and examine it. I then look on the back of the instructions for any other hints.

Igos-

You are not skilled enough to smelt pieces of iron that small.
