Jen attempts to create special armor piercing ice arrows. She practices with these on the original targets, while practicing the normal ice arrows on smaller targets. Then Jen checks her ice altar thingy to see if it attracted anything.

A man of approximately 5'10" and 140 pounds, clean shaven with mottled golden eyes and hair, contrasting his pale-white skin, appears with a flash of light in the shape of the number five-hundred and sixty-two. He stumbles about, confused for a moment, then seems to get his bearings despite complete lack of knowledge involving the situation. He is carrying a basswood quarterstaff ornately banded with black steel. Should someone possessing The Sight look upon said staff, something about it would seem broken, though strangely receptive to magic. His outfit consists of a flowing black robe embroidered with dark blue wave patterns, going down to the ankles, banded at the waist, and slit on the sides with dark trousers underneath to provide ease of movement, though the wide cuffs and long sleeves seem to defeat that purpose. His true name is Find, though for most of his life he has been known by the title of his office. Nexaduro, the Deathsinger, fourth great bard-mage of the Deylani Clan.

The traditional magical education of the Delani mage-bards consists primarily of sound and resonance magic (Sanumancy), used for combat and entertainment, along with secondary studies of water magic (Hydromancy) as an artform and a method of combat, and a few light and fire cantrips for illusions, heating water, etc. The warriors of the Delani Clan are experts with the quarterstaff, and one's rank is represented by the craftsmanship of one's staff, along with the enchantments upon it. The staffs are often used as instruments, enchanted to produce sounds when spun or tapped in certain ways.

 

Unfortunately, the journey here has disrupted, if not destroyed, all of Nexaduro's enchantments and magical talents. His staff, however fancy, is just a piece of wood and metal now. And, though they have not been entirely forgotten, he is unable to access his former masteries of magic, combat, and music.
