Grim, you do not want to duel with a balista, a balista is a siege artilery version of a crossbow, you should either get a crossbow, arbalest (crossbow with winch to help reload) or you could buy the gun blueprints from me (I won't ask for mouch, just pay what you think is fair).

I'd go for crossbow. A Cranequin is hard to create, and Mather's gun has some drawbacks which haven't been seen yet (You basically got increased power in exchange for them.)

 

Also, this is the same as with Umbra, but if you use force magic to fly, you must concentrate on that and that alone, disabling any magic attack or defense you may need to use.

That flight drawback is nothing, with some meditation and a bit more parctise I should be able to focus on more things.

Also flying as fast as I do (seeing how I use propulsion as opposed to wings/hot air) I could just get a spiked helm and a neck support then I can fly through "any" enemies like an arrow.

You will, at best, be able to cast a rather weak spell in flight using that method. Sure, you're a bit faster, but is it worth it?

Why would it kill me, a little armor should keep swords from doing damage as it doesen't get the time to cut through, a neck support should keep my neck from twisting and a helm should protect my head from impact as well as giving me an edge.

I guess due to physics, if you fly into something at high enough speed its cutting power is increased in proportion to your speed on impact. Though only if it was something like a sword.

What exactly is Never Winter Knights? What kind of a game, how are the controls, etc?

It's based on D&D, point and click. The only genre it could possibly fit is RPG.

The thing that makes it good is the aurora toolset, which allows players to make their own modules and campaigns.

 

Also, it's Neverwinter Nights, not Knights.

Sorry I knew it was nights, I remember Earth or Nex being corrected about it, knights just seemed more natural (I actually almost wrote knights again #-o).

 

But it is a poor or medium graphic dungeon or board game? In that case I don't think I'll give it a shot after all, I need whatever little space I have left on my computer for things that I will play.

The graphics are good, considering it was released about a decade ago, and it isn't a board game.

Hmm good point ross so I would want for that turn to do a beam of hell-fire and then magedeath arrows. Also I envisioned the ballista kind of like the scorpions from the roman army (able to be put in the back of a cart and transported that way)

EDIT: On a less serious note to ross when he gets on: Would it be possible by creating compressed force crystals and a small ritual (or possibly a large one) to create a garment/ weapon that would allow a boost to movement speed?

I boost movement with sound and wind magic, so it's probably possible.

Just do like me and fly, it's much faster than running, even with boosts.

It tends to be a bad thing when you die from your basic method of transportation. A note to ross: Would it in theory be possible to use force magic to compress types of crystals and I have an idea for a massive attack that I would like to be either cleared or rejected.
