No thats completely different... the abyss. Well let's just say it is populated by demons most likely so I would kind of like to get my light magic level higher.

Basically there are these beings of pure energy (they don't really have shapes, they're just blinding flashes of light or blobs if they are weaker) which come from unheard of planes. Characters specialized in summoning can bind these to their will, where they can take a bit of their energy to use as an attack, or try to totally control the spirit and use lots of its energy for the attack. The downside to binding a spirit, and/or using a large amount of its energy in an attack, is that the spirit has a chance of breaking free, causing a large explosion which might hurt or kill you.

 

You could say that a level 5 summoner could do an equivilant of a hellfire blast like Grim, but the summoner would have a 25% that it would blow up and kill him, 25% chance that the spirit will escape, and a 50% chance it succeeds. Just arbitrary figures, but you get the idea.

So essentially they have the same ability at level 5 that I had at ~ level 7? Summoning doesnt seem to useful aside from in cases like void magic (but you may need a base level for that).

Also Retech may I ask if you are basing the abyss from forgotten realms?

Google it there is a whole wiki about it (it is a world worked upon by several authors and games one of the most notable is R.A. Salvatore) Though I doubt you would want to take some of the ideas for the abyss from it.

If there are three people on now, I could host a session now and one in the evening. My sessions are generally shorter (an hour and a half) so I normally hold two.

Grim asks around the village as to what happened/if they have any tasks for him to do. If he can get no meaning from this he goes back over the mountains and looks for nex.

Nexaduro examines the suits of armour. He attempts to change the metal orbs into streams of liquid-ish metal, still in orbit, using allomancy.

The suits of armor seem to be made of steel, though they seem to hum with hidden power. The metal orbs remain just as solid as before. You hear some talking from a room down the corridor.

i try to throw my greataxe, and decapitiate the queen.

I form bands of geomancy around the feet of the suits, then try to disassemble one with allomancy. If I succeed, and it was holding a weapon, I take the weapon.

Grim goes to where the ivory tower used to exist and goes into the basement. He then does a quick geomancy scan.

Meh. Dungeoneering is getting kinda boring.
