I show the mummies my sketch of the array, and ask if they've seen anything similar. If they attack (or are attacking) I launch a fire ball, missing them on purpose. If they continue to attack, I launch a fireball at the nice, dry, flammable bandages.

 

Just to sum up what happen since you modded one of my games:

 

I went into the desert, found the ruins, and some mummies. They gave me a mummified turkey, i asked them if I can have the artifact, they prepare to attack. I attempt to negociate with them, they just mumble in typical mummie speak.

Håkon attempts to make a bridge across the chasm using the large pile of clay shavings.

Kirby-

The mummies appear to be too aggressive to negotiate now. You launch a fireball, hitting a mummy directly and burning the bandages, revealing a charred skeleton.

 

Rocco-

You hear a whirring from elsewhere in the golem.

 

Hakon-

As you look up, you hear a whirring sound, and the gap above you closes. You hear some clunking from below the pile of dust and clay.

Continue to launch fire at them, attempting to force them into the corner of the room. Always launch fire at the mid area.

Håkon attempts to use allomancy to dig through the golem in an upwards sloping direction.

Rocco-

You hear lots more whirring, and continue onto the ramp. You come to a split in the path, with a large door, or a spiral staircase.

 

Kirby-

You hit another few mummies, taking them down, and one takes a swipe at you, injuring your arm.

 

Hakon-

As you prepare yourself, you feel a cold, metallic hand grasp at your ankle. You look down to see several rusted clockwork golems emerging from the dust.

 

You hear another whirring from above, followed by a clunk.

Håkon smashes at the golems with his polehammer.

Need another person. Since Kirby is gone, you guys might have to wait.

I fire a pulse from the demon-slaying staff Jen gave me, directing it at the demons. If one is on my head, i slash it off with one of my broadswords.

 

(Stupid, should've thought of this before.)

Tavern seems dead today, so nope. After wednesday I should be able to GM a lot more though.

Darn... 19 minutes before I get home :P.

Also, I invited an old friend from RS to the Tavern. Her name's Deadly Whispers, and she tried to run a forum RPG for her/Tech's/my clan's old website. I thought she would make a good addition to the Tavern family =)

 

Deadly being the first non-hegemony female Tavernian (that I know of), Mather might want to prepare for an arse-kicking of unprecedented proportion. (To make an out-of-character joke, the phrase would be "killing two stones with one bird," though I suppose she might kick him in the face instead.)
