I'm not leaving anytime in the forseeable future. And I apparently can't show you how to get into the dungeon telepathically...

 

Anywho, I think I just liked Ross's GMing better.

The great axe sticks itself in the Queen's head. It reels in pain, and is put out of action for...an action.

You succeed, and take a decent broadsword.

You wake up in a small corridor, too small for the queen to fit through. You look ahead, and you see two ramps, one going upwards and one going down.

 

-Grim

 

Your geomancy scan reveals an anomaly deep within the rubble of the basement.

wohho! ownage! i limp over to the queen, and axe her, after retreiving my axe.

Grim goes away from the anomoly (I do not want to fight the demigod alone).

I disassemble the rest of the knights. The steel I form into a suit of steel armour which I replace my chainvest with. If I have extra steel, I replace the iron orbs with steel ones and put whatever's left in my bag. I also take the rest of the weapons.

You slice the queen's head off. Looking down the corridor, you see Rocco standing there, deciding which ramp to go on.

 

 

-Grim

 

An ethereal messenger appear to you and says in its soothing voice. "My master has a task for you. I think you know her...will you help?"

 

-Nex

 

The knights are dissembled, and your orbs are made, leaving you five large bars of steel in your pack, as well as five broadswords.

 

"Your time is up" calls a mysterious voice. The world fades around you and you appear in a windswept plain, where you quickly grab hold of a tree, so that you aren't blown away.

 

-Rocco

 

You heal yourself fully, and run up the "up ramp." You appear on a narrow ledge in a very large room full of cogs and gears of all kinds. The ramp closes behind you.

Grim responds "yes" and asks if it will show him the way to it's "master"

woohoo! awesome. i try to heal my limp.

I use geomancy to form walls against the wind, and after the walls are up I use aeromancy to make a pocket of air that the wind will flow around, instead of hitting me.

 

I also ask how to leave.

You feel a crushing sensation against your head, knocking you unconcious. When you reawaken, you are lying in a green meadow with animals of all kinds. You see a castle in the distance.

 

-Earth

 

You settle down to heal your limp, when the floor beneath you moves, throwing you down the ramp. The door has closed behind you, and you are in a room with three levers (A,B,C) and three ropes (A,B,C).

 

-Nex

 

You manage to make a temporary shelter for yourself, protecting yourself from the wind. You see a campfire on another hill, which is past a valley. Jen can barely respond, but you manage to figure out what she says. "You can leave at any time by asking...but the campfire is the way deeper into the underworld. If you're not ready to go, I understand."

Grim goes into the castle. He then goes into the door where the voices talk.

i throw a pebble onto the other side of the gap, if there is one.

I force the steel orbs under the sand so that the mutual attraction will keep me more stable. I form an air shield so that the breeze does not push me back, and if I succeed I walk towards the campfire.

Håkon proceedes into whatever opening (except the way we came in) is furthest left.

You see wise men sitting around small coffee tables, enjoying snacks and playing board games.

 

-Earth

 

The room is a tiny enclosed room, with those three levers and ropes in it.

You begin trudging down the hill you were on, before hearing a beautiful song from the valley below. You begin to feel very sleepy.

 

-Hakon

 

You walk up the only ramp available, finding Rocco there with you, on a narrow ledge with cogs, gear, levers, and pulleys of all kinds. You notice that there are five levers of different shapes (you can name them whatever you want), and a button beneath each of the levers. Across the gap you can see a shaft, and more gears turning.

I use sound magic to deafen myself, and then send out a wave of stone spikes in the direction of the voice. I then continue towards the campfire.

Grim asks them if they may help him down into the next layer of the underworld (Dear god you arent basing this off of dantes inferno right?)

I love Dante's Inferno! Best book of the 14th century! But the game guaranteed Visceral Game's CEO a place in hell.

 

And no, this is nothing like the second circle.

Håkon looks down, up and at the two sides (along the shaft). If there is nothing there he pulls the third lever and pushes the third button.

(I was just thinking about the scholars in the first circle)

It might be the seventh circle, violence, but it's not hot, dry, crowded, or painful enough.

 

Oh, that. Well, Tech only knows what I quote in school about Dante's Inferno and what he looked up on wikipedia.

Well it is windy... so it could be lust (though very doubtful)

You are lifted by the floor which rises beneath you. After several seconds, you rise into a plain room in the shape of a dome, only decorated by an assortment of breakable tablets.

You use sound magic to deafen yourself, and continue towards the campfire. You are assailed by stout horned demons, which begin to attach themselves to your body.

 

-Grim

 

(The general layout is like Dante's inferno, but you can't rely on it for much assistance)

 

One of the wise men turns to you and chuckles. "Why would we go deeper into the underworld when it's fine and dandy here?"

 

-Hakon

 

You notice Earth flying up the shaft, before disappearing again from view. You press the third button and the third lever. The gears begin to turn and a small narrow pathway juts out of the ledge, ending in the middle of the gap.

Grim responds" I am escorting an old friend through the underworld" He then looks around for the ivory master (not sure if he is dead)
