With the start of a new decade, Dragonwood has vowed to become stronger, more active, and a better clan overall. Our first PKRI of 2010 was a great way to test our resolve to meet these goals, and my clan mates did not disappoint. 80% of our clan signed up within the first 24 hours, and by the end of the week we had 40+ people down as a Yes. A tragic death occurred in our clan a few days prior to the fight, stemming our morale... but in the end, it only encouraged us to win in his honor. DW and Poison met at membersgate in w32 to begin the fight. Poison started with an incredible 49 people, while DW charged them with 42 bloodlusting broheims. As the fight progressed, we pulled a few more, peaking at 46. For the first half of the battle, the score was fairly even, with DW and Poison getting kills at equal speed. For a few moments, Poison took the lead after a couple of splash frenzies caused us to get dragged out and disorganized. Once we recollected ourselves and binding was back on top, we took the lead for ourselves at the 1 hour mark. Poison began to regroup, but still maintained a good 30 or so people in their main pile. Their snipers were a a pesky bunch, but we were able to transition on them quite effectively (most of the time ). In the last 5 minutes, we called back all of our snipers and began to gun for a string of KO's to bring Poison's numbers down. Successful calls by Alden and Red Fat enabled us to knock off 4-5 people per minute, enabling us to claim the victory with more people left standing at the end. DW took the win with 39 people ingame (42 in TS) to Poison's 35. Both clans were very honorable and there was no cheating whatsoever from either end (maybe a few bounds issues, but I didn't hear anything about it). Collision provided GREAT anti-crash, which prevented both clans from being hassled by no-lifers. Thank you for the fight Poison and amazing work Dragonwood.
