I am confused then. So my RFGs are now ineffective because of some technical failure even after extensive years of research/testing? Unless it was a rushed project I doubt such a thing would happen.

More things beyond your current level of control are causing them to go wrong.

I've been doing genetics for quite a while, and so Russia releases cures for most if not all genetic disorders, such a break through in medical science and we're willing to share with the world (hopefully making people see that were not bad people). We also begin using genetics, or what research we have to create a super soldier, this is done in secret, and this should take around 3 years, as we already have extensive research on the project.

 

Furthermore, gatling lasers are being placed around major cities for defense against missiles, these will be designed to lock on and destroy multiple missiles at a time, there will be 5 per radius they can cover, and this project should take 5 to 10 years, depending on if I change the budget. Also, Russia begins a new project and will be launching satellites that will be stationed above Russia, and only Russia, that will be armed with lasers, these satellites will also be used in missile defense, they will also be armed with defenses in case of anyone trying to shoot them down, this also will take 5 to 10 years.

 

This will hopefully make it so Russia is damn near immune to missiles.

Archi, since the UN is taking over, I'm assuming that Indonesia is not part of the Federation anymore. If this is true, then the invasion is considered to have failed, and we go with the back-up plan which I sent you. Ya know, the one that if I lost either South Korea or Indonesia.

 

If however, it turns out that the troops are there to make sure neither faction uses it during the war, but it remains part of the Federation like before, then the back-up plan is canceled, assuming North Korea withdraws from South Korea. If not, then go with the back-up plan.

Would render long range, powerful, lasers fairly ineffective. So either you need to pump energy into them(Which is fine, but 5 per...5 miles? Would be a fairly massive amount of electricity)

Also you have dust scattering...so if you strapped a smoke machine, or something, to a ICBM, you could negate the laser defences(Unless you used a hell of alot of electricity)

I think you have reached the limits of what duct tape can achieve.

Smoke machines wont work on a missile, its going to fast, it'll move out of the smoke everytime.

 

Also, ICBM's go pretty high, so the satellite doesn't need to be that close to the Earth.

But, yeah, you are right about the Smoke Machine, unless the missile slowed down, or was pumping out smoke at some speed it would be very hard to do....Course what you could do is put an 'arm' straight ahead of the missile, which would produce the smoke, allowing it to blow over the missile...which would at least slow down the targetting of the missile.

Well, the thing is that Solar Panels in Russia would tarnish pretty darn quick...The major rivers of Russia freeze up so my Hydrological Plants won't help...Its simply a matter of finding the 'right' method for you...

Yes... It doesn't really matter how many Satalites you have, its the matter about it being near impossible to keep them in Orbit above Russia...since Orbital Physics states that something needs to be over the equator for it to remain in geostationary orbit, and even then would move out of that orbit every so often...

Errr...you would put about 360 up for every one you want...then you would have them orbit around the planet...round and round, like a massive conveyor belt, so that you always had one somewhere near the place you want to protect...I would need to do some crazy physics to work out exactly how many you needed...and to be honest I don't feel like it, so 360 unless someone can prove otherwise.

You launch one of them and 10 years down the line someone could be digging and become infected...get on a plane, travel somewhere, and Anthrax threatens massive portions of the planet.

The first thing is the whole point of it. It's supposed to randomly reinfect people in the area. Basically making it uninhabitable. The plane thing is very unlikely, because everyone would be dead before they got on the plane. Besides, who the heck would still have plane service to Turkey when the entire thing was a wasteland, hmm?
