The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)

Well it does have an obligation to fight back when you INVADE it. Besides, if I'm going down, I'm taking you down with me.

Not totally sure why a country would be happy after being invaded. Even if they were under someone else's control, atleast they joined peacefully, and I don't see why they'd be any happier under a forceful occupation.

On the contary, if you deign to re-invade you are causing even more destruction to a country which you invaded in the first place.

'Tis I, 'tis Vindice, 'tis I!

I'd say that they might even be mad at you. I mean, had they not joined up with you, they'd be just fine right now.

Besides, it's suicide at this point. Italian forces are so dug in.

Then why did my 250,000 soldiers who had Iwo-Jima style defences which were built for...a decade get totally destroyed?

-------

Who said I was reinvading? I'll cut your forces off from supplies, and attack your mainland until you give it back.

go on then retech

Ok, for now I'm staying out of this war.

However. I will sell 500 of the most advanced attack helicopters in the world.

They have nanofiber reinforced armor, with aerogel protecting important areas as well, probably the most advanced countermeasures in the world, and some of the strongest and most precise missiles. They have a large flight range, and if they run out of gas/fuel they are able to land, and if they have a supply of water they can slowly generate hydrogen, until they have enough to fly back to base.

Alternatively, you can buy the smaller attack chopper which has the radar cross section of a bird, is smaller, faster, and just as durable, just with more firepower. I'll sell 500 total helicopters, and reverse engineering should prove pretty much impossible due to the highly advanced technology. Plus, it will not make me very happy with you.

Any bids?

Oh, then that's why they wouldn't like you. Constant presence of 250,000 troops.

And I'd imagine my ICBMs disrupted something.

Turkey states again that it will defend Italy and Australia.

Ever heard of a Federation? Generally a country in a Federation provides some troops too. Japan states that if necessary, it will fight to the end. The Japanese emporer tells his people that this is a time of dire need, and that last resort weapons must be used.

Well 250k troops is just 1 per every thousand natives, and then on average 1 troop per every 8 sqr km, so it's not too overwhelming. And Dungeon, I think I'll just stick to building it somewhere else as the Sahara wouldn't really be too useful, since transporting any of the power stored would be a pain.

By the way, I have sent things to Archi. It's just that he's not here.

well what would you like, those helicopters seem tasty

250,000 is not "some". That's equivalent to the military police in Europe during WWII.

Boy. That was one long lasting peace treaty. Two weeks game time? Maybe?

250,000 is definitely some in a country of over a hundred million people? Besides, most of those soldiers were Indonesian, with Japanese soldiers there mainly for logistical support.

You'd think that the examples in Nigeria, Oman, and Madagascar would be a demonstration of Japan as an imperialistic power, but it actually turns out that helping out an ally is definitely imperialistic. Great logic there.

As a result of the occupation of Indonesia and South Korea by foreign forces, Japan declares total war on all enemy powers involved. Basically the people are taught that Australians, Italians, and Turks are inferior peoples and backstabbers, and must be wiped out. They point to the fact that they are attacking one of the Federation nations, and that all Federation nations must think of it as if they were attacked themselves.

Consequently, this removes the distinction between civilian and military targets. Go figure.

I smell [cabbage].

What about the educated upper class? They're supporting that barbaric idea?

Regardless, I was never one to care about the difference between civilians and military targets,

Well the educated upper class aren't being too present at the moment. Generally when the country feels warlike, it's not safe for someone to speak up against it. Besides, since many of them lost relatives in the massacres, I'm sure they wouldn't be too opposed to it.

The total war thing was just to formalise it, so that Archi doesn't cancel all my attacks because the military doesn't feel like it.

Government owned planes have evacuated all Brazilian citizens or families of citizens who decide to leave, from Australia, Italy, and Turkey. The Brazilian Relief workers in Japan, as wells as the Rapid Response Force have constructed foxholes and makeshift bunkers (some using the nanofiber sheets sent with them), and are several miles away from any population center.

Australia continues not giving a damn about what Japan thinks. Australia also posts the speeches of Japan's leaders declaring peoples as inferior and insignificant over S-Net, creating civil unrest across the world and basically crapping on Japan's name.

Equipping of the army with exosuits continue, anti-poison and disease genetic therapy continues.

Losing relatives =/= an excuse for genocide.

Turkey also begins a project to do research for underwater domes similar to mathers (that is, unless mather wants to make it a joint project).

Sigh. PMing Archi I guess.

Losing relatives isn't an excuse for genocide, especially for people who aren't idiots, but it would make it so that the people might not have as many objections to it, since they're all emotionally charged up. Lots of genocide is because of made-up "facts."

Japan doesn't care about Australian propaganda, because it doesn't affect it anyways, at least for the total war that I had in mind.

Well, except that it's motivating three groups of people to hate you.

Well if they actually had reluctance like Archi said earlier, then I would be concerned, but it hasn't really affected me positively. So I might as well galvinise my own people, while not really affecting your people, since they don't really seem to mind ICBMing Japan anyways.

Hm. Australia still doesn't care what Japan's population thinks, and we'll prove it by repelling their so called "Superior" soldiers time and time again.

Ya know, you can still back out, I haven't sent my plans yet.

I would, but Italy still occupies Indonesia, and it doesn't seem like they're leaving, so I can't.

Care about what?

Ooooh, update on Europa Universalis. I tried Burgandy, and I immediately mobilised for war. Then I struck down thousands of French troops with my English allies, and won a nice peace settlement. Burgandy is now larger than France. :D

Unfortunately I attacked without Causus Belli and my people are running around screaming at me. I expect that I will die shortly. :)

It's just like the Federation would care if Germany occupied Britain. They're part of the same country, essentially. It's like New York caring if New Jersey was taken over by...New Guinea.

Except that you'd also have the power to blow them up. Anyways, I'm already in a pit, so I might as well go crazy and take some revenge shots. My navy only lost a few ships after all, and most of them were rebuilt (I was actually going to make a bigger navy, but you blew some up, so it became the same size as before).
