The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)

Featured Replies

I'd be calm if you two dummies didn't keep talking about a problem that wont be solved anytime soon, pisses me the hell off when you dont understand after careful explanation and telling.

Dude, shut the hell up. You haven't got a clue what you're saying.

Regardless, the monetary additions to my stealth bomber project have resulted in some fast advances, which I will PM to the mods in due time.

Erm, doesn't everyone have stealth bombers? Or are you saying that you're improving them.

Retech, I have no idea about price. I finished mine this year though.

I don't think you understand either, Rocco.

Sere says a compromise will be made. This doesn't mean your ICBM's aren't used.

'Tis I, 'tis Vindice, 'tis I!

Stealth bombers, weak bombs, but great chance to strike and not get hurt :D

Anyway, China and Russia have arranged a ceasefire :)

@italy

No, they aren't being used, Sere misunderstood his weapons, and he agrees they were stupid, so they can't be used.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

Japanese and Scandanavian researchers have announced that the proto-type of the exosuit has been completed. A working production model will be completed in 2 years, and factories will be ready to pump out exosuits half a year after the production model is created.

No. Sere misunderstood the FOAB. Not the ICBM's.

Sere says a compromise will be made. This doesn't mean your ICBM's aren't used.

ICBMs were pretty much banned, I think. I'm pretty sure the compromise was if they weren't used (since basically if you can use one limited-use of a super weapon, then we have the situation we were in before), so Rocco was saying that the attack never happened because there weren't any ICBMs.

Not really sure, but that's the impression I was getting.

--------

Sere said that the FOABs can exist, but that they can't be mounted on ICBMs. Then Rocco said he wouldn't use them, because his aircraft would have been decimated by Japanese anti-aircraft defences.

Pakistan uses the budget that was previously used for anti-missle defence to work on exosuits and railguns. It also invades Afganistan with some 350,000 troops, I posted it to arch some time ago.

namnlskopia.jpg

No, ICBM's were banned by the UN, ergo, they aren't banned at all.

'Tis I, 'tis Vindice, 'tis I!

I'm pretty sure Sere said two things. Either

a) weak conventional explosive ICBMs

or

B) FOABs dropped from aircraft

It's not that ICBMs were banned, but it's likely to get you sanctioned, and you can't use FOABs on them. Rocco, I was also picturing that, though the point was that despite my losses to my navy, I really only lost 5% or so of my navy in the entire episode, without the compromise.

Japan proposes the following:

When a city is surrounded by enemy attackers, without any relief, then the command of the city should surrender. (Not a game mechanic, but the person holding the city should surrender it)

Weapons should not be directly used on cities, but they instead an attacker should surround the city and proclaim victory over a particular city, to limit civilian casualties.

---------------

After a populist movement in the legislature, the Japanese Diet and the Emporer have amended the constitution. The forceful annexation of nations by Japan has now been banned, and invasions of other nations without Causis Belli has also been banned. This is to hopefully mend the relations with some countries, and to gain international support in the event Japan is attacked.

I am so glad that I don't have to feel guility for trying to do some reading....

Ok then:

FOAB weighs 7,100 Kg

ICBMs can launch approximately 3,000 Kgs at current capacity.

Thus any Turkish ICBM would have to be considerably larger than the traditional ICBM to accomodate the bomb.

Now then researchly the FOAB could be decreased by, say 100 Kilograms a year, down to maybe 6,000 Kg.

Thus, assuming Turkey decided to tie three ICBMs together, and launch said attacks, it would take the bombing totals down to 108 missiles. Thus 27 got through.

As such I will recalculate.

Bring out the GodModding

First Attack:

Missiles were targetted at Toyota(The town), Tokyo and Sayama.

Effectively destroying 50% of the Honda-Toyota structure, rending the company incapacited for the next 10 years. In addition to this Japan takes a 9% GDP cut, with 5% growth decrease for the next 12 years, along with 13 Million casualties, 12.3 million of them being in Tokyo itself. Japanese 'Bunker' plans shown to be woefully inadquate as only .4 million managed to survive using them.

Tokyo has been fairly devestated by the attack and will five years to clear up(The World Trade Center took 2 years to clear up with 24 hour clean up operations...)

Japanese Morale has plummeted.

Militart Casualities stay the same.

Second Attack:

South Korea was STILL targetted, and thus defensive countermeasures were destroyed, thus the North Koreans took advantage of the situation and have conqured South Korea in the interim.

Indonesia was also still targetted, and thus defensive countermeasures were destoyed, thus the Italians took advantage of the situation and have conquered the whole south side of the Indonesian Rim after negotiating with Australia the area has been placed and joint control and construction of Anti-Invasion countermeasures have been begun, using Japanese POWs.

The Japanese Fleet has been reduced from 400 ships to 328, including the loss of 5 Aircraft Carriers with 5,000 Aircraft, along with 290,000 casualities from the whole attack.

The Phillipines and Taiwan have reaffirmed their independance from Japan after protests with the International Cartography Agency.

ICBMs have been banned by the UN

Switzerland has set up the U3(World Union) Which has the State Rights Declaration, instead of the the Human Rights Declaration, which states, emphatically, that no nation should interfer with another state by any method, regardless of how they feel about that state. The only exception to this is, and forever will be, war. The U3 also legalises all forms of warfare, including nuclear. Thus ending the Treaty of Geneva. (Nuclear weapons will not, of course, be insta-built, or probably ever built, but the opinion is there....ALL NATIONS MUST ANNOUNCE, AND THIS MEANS PUBLICALLY, AND MUST BE VALIDATED, PUBLICALLY, BY EITHER ARCHI OR SERE, THEIR BUILDING OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS, THIS IS A GAME MECHANIC AND NON-OPTIONAL, FAILURE TO ADHERE WILL RENDER YOUR NUCLEAR WEAPONS IMPOTENT)

Membership to the UN and U3 are mutually exclusive.

The U3 already has the membership of North Korea, Sri Lanka, the Dutch Exile Party, the British Labour Party in Exile, India, Iraq, Iran, Syria and Cantalonia.

Madagascar has ignored Japanese efforts to establish a 2 party system

The Japanese Military recieved orders to launch Anthrax bombs at Italy, Australia and Turkey. However this crisis was adverted before it began by a belief that Bio-Weapons should only be used as a last resort by the Commander in Chief of the General Staff. The whole story was leaked to the press.

The UN has voted under:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nations_Security_Council_Resolution_1674

and

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UN_General_Assembly_Resolution_377

To investigate Japan for breaches of International Law. Currently they are waiting on Japan to accept inspectors.

If Japan does not accept the inspectors then the International Justice Courts will ask for the extradition of the Japanese Emperor, as well as all those involved with the manufacture of Genocidal Weapons.

If Japan does accept the inspectors then all Genocidal weapons will be confiscated and Japan will be dismissed from the Security Council have given a 20 year veto from entering the Security Council under terms of the General Assembly Resolution 377 and GAR 96/23, which states that Security Council Members are not above the UN and must abide by the same rules as all other members.

Also Automagically transfering research is hereby disallowed. If you spend 1, 10 or 100 years researching something you cannot switch it for something else just because A ) It is deemed Illegal, B ) You got the Physics wrong, C ) You don't want it any more.

You can destroy research, but you do not get anything for that.

This can be overturned by agreement with BOTH Archi and Sere, but will only ever be done in special cases, none of which spring to mind.

This is final.

Any specific Queries can be resolved when I get back on properly.

Guess the compromise came sooner.

And talk about Jerryrigging! (Aimed at Turkey) Three ICBMs tied together with chains, with a FOAB bomb tied down to the front. LOL.

Breaking news today from the Brazilian state of Chile, as the details for the largest, and most productive solar farm in the world have recently emerged. The Atacama NanoSolar Electric Plant will be located, as it's name suggests, in the Atacama desert in Chile, one of the sunniest areas on the continent. The plant will cover over 25 square miles of terrain, and will easily visible from space. Even more exciting is it's planned energy production,a whopping 11gw/h, providing almost all the power not covered by the solar-roofs project.

With much higher efficiency from solar panels due to recent innovations in the fields of nanomaterials, older solar panels will be slowly phased out, and replaced with newer, NanoSolar panels. Though the cost per panel is still signifigantly higher, the gap between price/energy of older and new panels is swiftly closing, as nanomaterials become cheaper and easier to produce as time goes on.

In other news, the Census reports for 2025 came out recently, with a population of 442,984,194 people, and an average GDP per capita of 17,818, with a total gdp of 7.9 trillion. (GDP rise of ~3.75% per year).

Here are stats for newer (since games start) military assets:

[hide]Air Assets:

4900 Tiger Helicopters

3490 Mouse Helicopters

9200 Assorted Transport/General Purpose Helicopters

5 Combat S-Dirigibles

900 Heavy Cargo/Transport Planes.

Naval Assets:

2 SuperCarriers

12 Medium Carriers

75 Destroyers

78 Cruisers

84 Submarines

5 Scatter-Destroyers

Random thought for the UN.

(Link is seperate from quote)

http://www.nationstates.net/page=WA_past_resolutions/council=1

Description: The Adopted Nations of the World Assembly,

NOTING that the United Nations has spectacularly imploded in a colossal fireball of extra-dimensional inanity;

BELIEVING that there is a vital and needed role for a global organizational body;

FURTHER NOTING that there are an awful lot of United Nations Resolutions;

FURTHER BELIEVING that the demise of the United Nations may be fashioned into a grand opportunity for nations to draw a new destiny;

HEREBY

1. ESTABLISHES the World Assembly as the natural successor to the United Nations, with the full transfer of all Delegate ranks and associated endorsements;

2. ARCHIVES all previously passed UN Resolutions for historical purposes, so that citizens of today may forever look back upon the masterwork of their ancestors;

3. DECLARES the pages of international law to be blank;

4. INVITES members of the World Assembly to begin work on a new volume, which may in time exceed even the grandeur of its predecessor.

Might be fun to have a weekly resolution....gives us something to do between invading stuff, bombing stuff, arguing about bombing and invading stuff, saying we are researching stuff, arguing about that...and whatever else it is we do.

Thus if you agree then please just say 'I agree with Resolution 1' and I will create a seperate thread so that the Resolutions don't get lost under the weight of postings.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

I agree with Resolution 1?

'Tis I, 'tis Vindice, 'tis I!

Sure I guess. And Dungeon, could I purchase some of your land in the Sahara? Just the Sahara, not any of your inhabited regions.

flobotst.jpg

Hegemony-Spain

what on earth could you give me that would be of any value

'Tis I, 'tis Vindice, 'tis I!

Gold, Silver, Copper, Iron, Money, etc. It's not like the Sahara is at all useful to you anyway.

Also, Archi if you can update it, I should have around 4,063 tonnes of gold now.

flobotst.jpg

Hegemony-Spain

but why are those things useful to me anyway?

technology is all that would be worthwhile

would i be correct in saying that the sahara receives a higher sunlight intensity? or is my assumption incorrect as it's only based on the fact that the sahara is a desert.. this would mean that you're probably going to use it for solar facilities and then store the energy in some form

if so, that tech is enough for the trade

'Tis I, 'tis Vindice, 'tis I!

Right, so in this compromise I lost MORE than I did last time? The Phillipines was under total control of Japanese companies, so their economy should be dead right now. Taiwan was never part of Japan, someone just miscolored the map.

Japan accepts Turkish peace treaty, if they bomb North Korea (Pyongyang) with the ICBMs.

-------------

Also, why do countries randomly go independant? The Federation was formed a while ago, and it doesn't really have any reason to break apart.

Oh, then please just incinerate the North Korean military and their supply chain (the military not in South Korean major cities).

----------

Japan admonishes the Phillipines from leaving the Federation, especially in their time of need when two of their fellow members were invaded (Korea and Indonesia). Japan offers the chance for the Phillipinos to earn their honor by rejoining the state and contributing for the war effort against the Italians and Australians invading their homeland, Asia.

Japan also calls upon the Chinese to help extricate the Italians and Australians from Asia.

Japan tells the UN that it will allow inspectors in after the business of war is concluded. It says that it will not use anthrax weapons unless it looks like Indonesia is going to be conquered, since the UN doesn't seem to be willing to help when Japan is being attacked.

They still have Indonesia. What the heck do you think I'm going to do? If they withdrew (I don't think they did), then of course I wouldn't continue fighting, but I don't have much of a choice when a country of the Federation is being occupied.

Maybe so, but I did affirm that Japan would not take any other countries by force, but since Indonesia and South Korea were essentially part of Japan and they have defensive pacts, then Japan has an obligation to help.

Japan has no obligation to help if the countries of Indonesia are - according to Archi and Sere - 'happy' with Italian control.
