Yeah I heard a lot of butt hurt about it from someone with a PS4. He was mad they were talking about the second map pack (first for Xbox since they got it today or something) and they hadn't fixed the game to even be played on PS4... I told him to man the [cabbage] up and play another game and be responsible because no one on a paintball forum can fix it for him. He then went back a couple pages of that thread and quoted every post I made about my computer not working and all my lel's about it not working, claiming I was raging or some [bleep].

 

Word. PC works fairly well from my experiences. I got a collateral sniper rifle kill (Idt they were headshots:() while lagging really hard because my modem decided to go from 2Mb/s wireless to like maybe 500Kb/s (It dipped to <50Kb/s, I noticed today) and got a lag kill.

I was on steam voice talk thingy with my friend and literally said something like "toplel, eat [cabbage]"

Then I lol dc'd :P

Didn't bother watching that. No point IMO, I don't try hard in games unless my friends and I are trying.

Metro has some subtle differences that I can remember from watching the video (I'm rewatching and posting things I notice them, not in any particular order) 

For those who want to watch it;

• The subway track areas have now filled with water, slightly. That's kinda cool. 
• The Russian spawn (conquest) looks a lot different, as does the front of the metro station area thingy.

*I would continue past there but I'm downloading Assassin's Creed 4 on a choked internet speed of MAYBE 2Mb/s (when it runs strong) and I can't watch youtube videos in any other quality than like 144p. So as soon as I remember to update this post with new things I will, once it's down downloading :P

What graphics will next gen we playing BF4 on? Also do they get any advantages or added features compared to PC?

Compared to PC console is moving at turtle speed. Next gen gets better graphics or something, idr. Unimpressed.

Sometimes it will be normal but then everyone will stop then 2 seconds later they have teleported to where they should have been. I will be moving, then I wont be able to control myself and e.g I will walk off a roof. Its ruining the game, this doesnt happen in any other game and it isn't my connection as thats fine.

Is it just me experiencing this or does everyone?

I play on PC, I dont see how it can be my internet as I never got it on BF3 and I play tons of other online games and dont experience it.

I'm on ps3 playing bf4 and I think they actually broke more than they fixed last patch. I connect to 1 in every 10 attempts, and then I usually disconnect or freeze after about a half hour of game play. The game play being rubber banding and lag out the wazoo. Literally unplayable right now. Kinda ruined my night.

What's your ping usually, Miner? Also, what graphics card/settings are you using?

In the 20-50s usually. Radeon 6950, medium settings.

Fix for a crash that would cause the game to stall, resulting in a sound loop. This should eliminate most of the problems relating to this. 

Fix for the SUAV (introduced in the China Rising expansion pack) not exploding when hitting enemy soldiers. While these indeed should be deadly, they were never designed for “roadkilling” opponents.

You lag too much? Did you play around with that latency setting?

The latency slider is set at 0% which is suppose to be the option which stops bad latency.

You should try moving it around, some people have found that they can play better at other settings. Some sacrificed fluid movements, while others sacrificed barely anything. Give it a shot

 

I haven't played with mine yet because usually I'm fine, but when I lag it gets icky. My ping is usually around 30. Sometimes it sticks at 80 but I'm still fine. When it randomly jumps to 300, 400, or 999 is when I have problems. I think it's my router. I got a new modem and my router is a year or (3) old by now. Might be time to get a newer one that's got better specs.

I dont know if this is just a coincidence but I restarted my BT Homehub and now its fixed. I dont rubber band any more and the game runs fine, just as it did a couple of weeks ago.

BT, its a broadband and telephone company in England. Ye it wasn't very clever on my part, should have done that first but I didnt think anything was wrong with it as the speed was fine.

 

China Rising is ok, the maps are pretty good but nothing special. I would say they are better than most of the vanilla maps. I cant decide whether to get premium, its alot of money for just some new maps especially as 4 of them will be from BF3 plus the game is still pretty broken.
