Change of concept. The setting is going to be slightly Abhorsen-ish, and you play as humans with access to magic and basic medeival weaponry. However, It is nonetheless going to be a survival game. You start in a kind of magical bunker (a wooden building surround by a moat and heavily warded with protection magic) that you stumbled upon while fleeing from the undead who destroyed your village. Now, the undead have overrun the area around the "Bunker," though the line is held a ways away at a wall along a thin strip of land heavily guarded by mages and warriors. While this is a safe haven, supplies are limited. You must eventually make a ship to sail to human controlled land, or otherwise get across the wall. After that, the storyline will continue in some way or another =b

You must name your character, choose a weapon from the Bunker's armory (no guns!), and choose a reasonable starting advantage to your character. Something like a backpack, extra supplies, a special weapon, etc. (nothing too powerful!). This will play like Dungeoneering, with you deciding an action and me deciding how miserably you fail, or if what you said is possible at all.

Let the battle begin!

Random question...what do you do in the game?

Woke up earlier than I thought I would... *sigh*

Archi, I wish this was one of those times when I could say "let me answer that question... with a song!"

Alas, 'tis not.

I have a basic idea... But I'll need some support with making a coherent storyline (or random series of events, either works). It's more RPG than anything else. I'm currently debating between a modern, feudal, or modern-magical setting. I think that feudal would be the simplest, because considering the game takes place on a *technically* separate world and I don't want to think through ridiculous, powerful, and somehow still plausible weaponry. Steampunk is right out, seems like zombies wouldn't work in that setting. Thing is, originally my idea for this game was some kind of biological weapon gone wrong (however cliche that may be), and both sides of zombie survival are at their best in a modern or semi-modern setting when it is possible for a human to last years completely cut off from the outside world. Personally, I would leave the final decision to the players... so if you have a preferences or suggestions please PM me or post here.

Now, I must take a moment to go eat some of the best hash in the western hemisphere.

Was George Washington serious about his American revolution? Hitler about his Anti-semite revolution? George Bush about his unprovoked-retaliation revolution?

Probably. But this is not a revolution, it is a forum RPG.

I probably should have put this up as a work in progress, though.

And more community support would be helpful =/

We can start now. I changed the concept, read the new intro for details. The old storyline can be found in the Varrock Library. I can mod for a short time, so if you want to start, now's the time!

Changed my mind. One action is allowed. (explore Bunker for supplies, (it's very large and shifting), venture out to fight undead, train, etc.)

You urgently wade through the waist-deep waters surrounding the Bunker, leaving the lesser dead following you at the shore. As you approach the large doors of the Bunker, they swing open with a gust of stale air. It seems as though the structure has been abandoned for some time. You enter, and see four doors marked:

Supplies

Armoury

Quarters

Archives

There is a fifth, unmarked door that is larger than the rest.

Grim finds himself in an enormous room, larger than you would think possible looking on the Bunker from the outside. It is filled with shelves, and both the ceiling and opposite wall are obscured in darkness. The crates on the shelves seem to be labeled individually, and you have to crane your neck to see the top shelf. There is no ladder. Looking around, you see a small, open sideroom with much smaller shelves, the contents of which seem to be medicine and food.

This area is basically a gamble. What you find on the shelves is based on your roll.

Also, you can all have more than one roll. I have a bit more time.

You walk up to a random shelf, trip, and catch yourself on one of the shelves. The entire shelf rack shakes, and a small box drops into your hands. Taking the box, you walk into the Armoury.

The armoury is filled with racks that seem to hold any basic weaponry imaginable. However, there seems to be only one of each. There are also several suits of chain-mail.

You get a weapon, a (reasonable) bonus of your choice, and a customizable (And I mean REALLY customizable, the space you can use is infinite) room in the Quarters area of the Bunker.

Sorry, I gotta go, but I'll be on tomorrow.

So Long and Thanks for all the Fish!
