Karl:

You reach the anomaly with the ecologist. He begins taking readings. You notice that there are some partially-decayed corpes lying around.

 

Enigma:

You find an outpost. There is a red logo sprayed on the side of the building, which looks like two crosshairs, with one slightly tilted on top of the other. A man wearing red urban cammo spots you, and shouts, "Stop, what is your business here?!"

 

Harkon:

You come across a mutated dog while searching.

Varius Dusavi sees the pale man who calls himself Enigma, and runs to catch up to him. He then follows Enigma, twitching and pointing his gun at the slightest sound.

"A job."

 

Enigma acknowledges his new companion.

Karl examines the corpses for what killed them while staying on his alert.

Varius keeps his finger tight on the trigger, ready to defend Enigma.

I try to befriend the dog, if successful I name it Dog (the giant robot in half-life2 anyone?).

Karl:

As you examine the corpse, it suddenly grabs your hand, spraining your wrist. All of the other corpses rise up also, and begin attacking the ecologist. The ecologist misses completely, but is unharmed. They seem slow and brain-dead.

 

Hakon:

The dog comes up to you, and surprisingly seems friendly.

 

Enigma/Varius:

Four men come up, armed with SCAR ARs, and confiscate your 9mm handguns, and escort you to their commander. He is sitting inside one of the barracks.

"Do you have any work we can do?"

I bring Dog with me, searching some more, and occationally patting it.

"Yes, and who are you? Where are we?"

Varius resists the urge to flick his knife at the commander's head.

Karl opens fire with his pistol using his non sprained hand.

Enigma/Varius:

"Yes, I have a job that would be...fitting for you two. If you complete it, you will have earned our respect. We had a small camp just east of here, used for our scouts. We haven't heard from them for a day now, and are getting worried. I'll mark the location for you." The man hands both of you PDAs.

 

Karl:

You cap the zombie in the head. The ecologist manages to kill one of the other zombies, but is moderately injured by one. The last zombie stumbles, and falls into the burner anomaly, burning to ashes within seconds.

Hakon:

Dog seems to obey you, and runs off, bringing back a severed hand holding a PDA. You find 300c scattered on the ground.

"It shall be done."

Enigma requests his gun back on the way out.

Karl asks if the ecologist is alright and if he has enough data. He then attempts to set a splint for his sprained wrist.

Varius follows Enigma. Taking his pistol back from the guards, he prepares to attack any threats.

I collect the PDA and cash and give Dog the hand, I then continue searching in hope of finding a weapon.

Karl:

You see the ecologist bleeding profusely. His hands are shaking, and you see a medkit right next to him, probably his.

 

Varius/Enigma:

A guard hands both of your weapons back. You proceed to the area marked, and come up to the camp. There are several (3) men there, all in some strange chant over a pile of scrap metal.

 

Hakon:

Out of sheer luck, you find an AK-47 (good quality, good condition)! However, there is no ammo for it.

Karl uses the medkit to bandage the ecologists wounds.

"Hello brothers. Need you assistance? Maybe your God arranged this meeting..."

GTG for dinner. I will protect Enigma with my life, and he can control me.

I hang the AK across my back and continue searching.

Enigma places his hand on one of the mens shoulders, and holds his gun to the man's head with the other.

"Explain yourselves".

Karl:

You haphazardly bandage the ecologist, but he is going to need medical attention.

Mather:

You come across a group of loners, standing around a campfire. They seem bloody, and are saying incoherent words. You make out five of them.

 

Enigma/Varius:

Before you can approach the men, one spots you, and yells "HERETIC!" in a rather strange tone. You miss, but Varius shoots one of them in the head. They return fire, and one hits you, mildly wounding you, and the other misses completely.

(Varius):

+0.4 handgun prof.

Enigma throws his knife at the gun arm of one of the men to disarm him, and shoots the other in the head.

 

(Ah. I'll post this anyway to remember my move.)

A fire, eh... Then they can't be zombies.

 

I begin aproaching them, greeting them while still at a distance.
