The large beasts rampage further into your farms, but are prevented from attacking your town itself by your gods. The destruction of your farming communities balances out any population growth you have.

The Scathes are told by their gods to make the formerly golden city, a beacon of decay to spread the word of Incabulos, and the destruction that it might bring.

 

-Mather

 

Messengers from two factions arrive at your town hall, urging you to support their side. The Unionists want to create a nation of various tribal-states and monopolize the island which the Goa'ulds live on, but the Separatists support total independance for all tribes on the islands, to live as they would.

 

-Earth

 

Your people gain an innate sense of metal working through the new metal, which successfully bonds to the dragon's claw. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to make the claw much stronger. Your advisors figure that if this specialty metal is used correctly, it could be sold to other tribes as a trading good.

 

-Grim

 

Your god points your people to the location of a sun-metal mine in a winding ravene near your village. It may be hard to extract the metal, but it would make strong armor for the times.

For centuries, the Nephilim have traveled from cave to cave in the extensive tunnel system of a nearby mountain. Your group has settled in a perch beside the mountain, with a very good view of the surrounding forest and beyond.

The people raise you to the status of absolute ruler, and proclaim you their ultimate leader. Your shaman asks you if in the event of your death, you would prefer to be replaced by your child or by another qualified candidate.

 

The seeker asks what their next conquest will be.

I roll on research once when it's started, and once every year. The rolls are to just give me an idea, since I still do most of the things by executive decision. Also, generally elementals were very combat oriented, and don't use tools as well. (I also posted something in the yearly update).

 

The scouts have trouble going through the thick forest, but one of them eventually reaches the coastline of a chilly ocean.

You're in a forest. I assumed you were exploring through the forest.

 

The scout finally makes it into the air, and flies over mountains and valleys and such. He decides to take a shortcut over a small inlet, and is promptly devoured by a monster. It seems your "invasive species" is not welcome here.

The scouts begin to explore until the edge of the coniferous forest, where they see a transition to a taiga to the north and a vast sweeping "wasteland" to the east across the mountain range. To the west is a vast ocean with many dotted islands, and to the south is a grassland.

You won't have to worry about that for a while. Basically a description of it, and having a good idea of your surroundings in your mind is probaly good enough. To be honest, the map I have is very vague and things frequently appear out of the mist. At least it gives the mysterious feel of tribal times.

Except that when it comes to things like this I have a brain like a sive, hence why I would like a map, so that I can build an actual picture of a town...

 

I am not asking for some morbid advantage or anything, I just want a map of the area where my town would actually sit...and it seems unlikely that I would not have explored that area....

Incabulos advises you to "cultivate" the land around with decay, as your supply lines were getting precarious the last battle, and that you were rather lucky to succeed against such a large settlement.

Your prime arrives in a mighty goa'uld city. He sees hundreds of hosts never seen before to your tribe. The council tells you of the military situation. The enemies seem to have more tribes, but the tribes of the union seem to be stronger militarily. An estimated five thousand soldiers are on both sides, and they ask for your contribution.

The scouts encounter a very tall mountain range, impossible to fly over. The top is shrouded in a mysterious haze, and it might require a major expedition or project to bypass it.

I'm working on a map right now, but it's hard to co-op it from the big map unless it becomes really obvious exactly how things look on the rest of the map. Will a rough sketch suffice?
