Your attacks continue to do little damage in comparison to the large size of their army. They gobble up the land: your home is a dead and decaying wasteland.

The Scathe sacrifice half of the infected soldiers to see if Incabulos can make the holes any bigger.

i run away with my vassals, and try to find a new home.

The plan works almost too well: the wall becomes structurally deficient and tumbles down. On the other side stands 500 city guards specifically prepared for combating hordes of small beings. They wield a variety of weapons ranging from rakes to light gold mallets.

 

There seem to be more guards that have not made their way down yet.

The Kinder Gotten scouts continue scouting the eastern jungle. Domestication attempts continue as does attempts to increase the size of the tiny horses.

The force of scouts return unsuccessful. It seems that they cannot go too far without military protection. The horses become better trained, and they can now support a lightly armed soldier (one with one weapon and light armor)

The Kinder Gotten are trained with bows and arrows. 50 spearmen go with the scouts this time.

All the Kinder Gotten are trained decently with the bow and arrow, but only around 50 children become decently adept at it. In a year or two, these might become well trained bowmen.

 

The scout party encounters a long river supplied by a beautiful waterfall. As one of the scouts wade into the water, his shoe is slightly filled by a shiny sediment. They had struck gold! Your advisors figure that there must be a large deposit downstream.

Your elementals fly for many days, and spot a variety of terrains. They spot a beautiful waterfall, an icy mountain peak, a sooty volcano, a temperate forest, a large open plain, a desert, and a tropical jungle.

The scouting party goes downstream and the children start an intensive bow training course (to make them experts)

The scouting party gets lost in the jungle, though their tracks are easily visible to a trained eye. When they make camp during nightfall, they hear the shuffling footsteps of large beasts outside. They see the shadowy forms, almost globular in shape, through the fabric of their makeshift tents.

They call out to the people and ask if they wish to talk. The spearmen get ready for a counter attack.

The Scathe send in the remaining guards, before the wave of spores tumble upon the main force, infecting as many as possible, and making them turn on their comrades. The needlers continue to fire into the guard force.

The large beings seem to "hear" you, because they seem to stop moving. Your spearmen prepare a counter attack, but an attack never comes for them.

 

The Scathe send in the remaining guards, before the wave of spores tumble upon the main force, infecting as many as possible, and making them turn on their comrades. The needlers continue to fire into the guard force.

 

The remaining guards hobble to their former comrades, before they are slaughtered. They served their duty though, for the guards were momentarily distracted. 50 of the city guards are mind controlled, but they are quickly killed by their comrades. Your Scathes are assailed by their uniquely specialized weaponary, though as a result of their inexperience with the weapons, many of the scathes have an oppertunity to spread out into the nooks and crannies of a few nearby houses.

The scouting party attempts to talk to the globes.

[Retech]

The globes quickly devour most of the scouting party, and begin to move for your spearmen. It appears that the globes have been terrorizing nearby farming communities, but the looks of various farming implements imbedded in their flesh. A few members of the scouting party manage to run away, and encounter a civilization of giant ants.

The spearmen and the scouts beat a hasty retreat out onto the open plains.

[Retech]

Your spearmen find themselves surrounded by the large termites, and too far from the open plains to retreat there. Meanwhile, the survivors that have encountered the giant ants are told that the leader is out on "other worldly" matters and will return to you tomorrow. Then they start trying to convince the survivors to join the forces of the mighty god of darkness, Umbra.

The spearmen create a defensive circle and the survivors move back to the open plains after telling the termites about the balls.

meh. i hope the dodos die.

i begin to set some dragons to make a university. i use the specials to clear some land for the vassals, and learn how to hunt and farm under the trees. i also send out the rest of the regs to hunt, and gather.
