China tried to invade Iran, but was threatened and retreated after a billion nations went to help

Doom switched to Italy

Earth took Mexico

I bought 6,000 tanks from Hex, where I'm preparing to ship them out (since that's a lot of tanks)

Dusty is invading Albania with...140,000 troops I think

Doom is invading Tunisia with fewer troops, but in total sum to around 100,000

Poseidon tried to join as a European nation, but people sorta got mad that he was taking one of the ones that they were annexing

We had a discussion on army size, with no result

We had a discussion on army rifles, which also basically had no result

Hex has moved his troops to a secret location after Greech pulled out from Iran's defence....hmmm I wonder what they could be doing.

You can take a country in the process of being annexed. Your assent to power starts a revolt and, depending on how much time has been invested in a country already(and after paying a relative proportion of the money), part of the country will join the country trying to annex it. If it is over 6 days since the start of the annexure then the annexer has carte blanche to attack, course people can rush to the 'rebels' cause if they want.

 

So, for the next 9 years, is there any way to make any extra money, or do I have one year of IAG to rely on?

 

Extra money...No, not really. If you went pillaging in a nearby country then maybe, but otherwise, no.

 

 

Also, randomly....Invading countries obvouisly costs money. 10,000 troops costs 900 million to deploy for 1 year(Which is a trifling amount, basically 90k a year...compared with the 400,000 the US spends in Iraq(thanks Doom)) Defences cost less, obvouisly, about 30k a year per solider(on Alert, if they are reserves they cost nothing and we just say they are paid for by the GDP, not IAG and there is abso-tively no effect on gameplay until mobalised/put on alert). Shipping and all that is roleplay(Though you will need something to get troops from A-B).

Figures are worked out at the beginning of the year, since even if they die you have had to spend money on them.

 

 

Anywho:

 

Greece declares war on Albania. Roughly 140,000 Greek troops cross the border and engage the pitfully small Albanian army, which would undoubtedly be caught by surprise by the war (they have an active military of a little over 10,000).

The Greek Army catches Albania completely off guard. With the deaths of some 5 soliders on the Greek side and 18 on the Albanian side, all top army officals, the defence collapses. Greek rallies are held in the streets.

Infrastructure unexpectedly increases by .1 due to extra supplies, trains and vechicles.

Cost of Attack :12,600,000,000

Treasury: 100,058,000,000

Infrastructure: 1.1

 

 

30,000 fully equipped Italian troops along with 3,000 main battle tanks pile out of transport ships and into Tunisia, heading for the one necessary city for capture.

Meanwhile, 65 AMX and 40 Eurofighters harass the troops in that city, while attempting to avoid civilian casualties.

20,000 more troops are waiting to be deployed, and a further 50,000 are still in reserve.

 

Air assult destroys the element of suprise and 3,000 troops are killed during the landing, along with the loss of 42 tanks, 4 AMXs and 0 Eurofighters. The encircling army seems largely unfazed by the air assault, but not unaffected.

The breachead is quickly encircled and the commander makes the snap decision to call for reinforcements to help with the breakout, which succeeds with heavy casulities. Some 12,000 lose their life as well as a large number(130) of the tanks.

Tunisia then panics and begins a counter offensive, which fails entirely, destroying the remnance of their army, leaving the defenders locked up inside the city.

After only a few days it is clear that your Commander will not be sucical enough to charge the town and starves the town into submission, surrendering two months after the first bombs were dropped.

 

The victory is bittersweet, with civilian casualites in the high(four digit) thousands and wide spread damage.

Infrastructure takes a hit of 0.2.

Cost of the attack: 4,500,000,000(Actives), 4,500,000,000(On Alert), 360,000,000(Tanks), 15,000,000(Planes)

Total: 9,750,000,000

Treasury: 1,065,013,000,000

Infrastructure: 0.8

Do you only take an infrastructure hit if you annex the place? I was thinking about just randomly attacking Greenland for the fun of it, and as long as they don't come and attack, my infrastructure shouldn't decrease, right?

Yeah, if you were just going to pillage the hell out of it then you would get upto 70% of their IAG as a one time payment to you, at the cost of the next 100 years of their development being in the fourth world.

Because 10 gives you the greatest chance of victory, 50%. Because the other side can only choose one number, and that number will have to be greater than or less than ten, meaning that you have a 50-50 chance.

Also, can I make a suggestion, lets say someone were to invade (for example) Pakistan. We go to wikipedia, and find their real military strength. Lets say for Pakistan they have 4 cities to defend, and 200,000 troops. 80,000 troops go into the cities, and then they have 120k army other than that.

Instead of just an arbitrary number. And also, countries with antiquated militaries shouldn't be able to shoot down extremely advanced planes. Helicopters, yes, but planes, no. I'm not disputing this battle, just future ones.

 

Anyways, the IAG boost from Tunisia is all going into repairing their Infrastructure.

In accordance with survivalist training, the soldiers have been given 2,000 wild boars to hunt; this happens weekly, they are given seeds to start a farm. The five man team with the largest farm is given a 50k prize once they leave the army.

I think Doom is right. Even in China, modern society would react with a frightful backlash towards enslaving your population and press-ganging them into the army, and would, in all likelihood, revolt.

 

Simply put, you have about 250,000 loyal soldiers by now (Being generous), and about 1.8 million people who hate you and want to kill you. With military training. And guns.

 

Hex, not to mention transporting 200,000 boars so that 1 in 10 of the soldiers get a full meal each day is absurd.

Oh wait, you're doing it weekly.

 

Plus, since they would have to have been farmed on a mass scale, they will already be tame, eliminating the need to do this entirely.
