I don't remember which ones I've told you about already, but: Killswitch Engage, Tool, Dream Theater, Pantera, Ted Nugent, Freedom Call, Edguy, Ayreon, Avantasia, Sentenced, Megadeth, Aria (Russian though.)

I know what Varg has said of guitars, but he actually is a pretty talented guitarist. Listen to "War" for example. Not typical Burzum, but you can hear guitars there. Also, past the few years Vikernes has moved more to paganism than neonazism.

He stabbed Euronymous (should ring bells) to death and was also charged (even tho he denied them) for church arsons. I don't know what the hell have you read, but his first cd's where recorded before he was jailed and the rest when he's in jail.

yeah, bullet for my valentine is pretty good. i spent 40 bucks ordering their EP from the UK. i like slipknot and marilyn manson too... dunno if manson is considered metal, i think hes more industrial

And, is it racism if you love your own race and culture? Varg has made (his latest albums) music that's about the Norwegian/Germanic gods. At least I wouldn't do that music with negro (slap me if you want, negro and nig.. aren't the same) instruments? Basically that's the same as doing marrying your own sister; might look the same but it isn't right.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What's your point on that African American thing? What I know, guitar was found a lot before America. Also the "rockstar spirit" has spreat all over the world and Varg had some grudges with Swedish bands. I don't know what's your problem but you don't seem to understand what you read.

Trivium and Atreyu are great metal bands. Lipgloss and Black by Atreyu and Pull Harder On The Strings Of Your Martyr by Trivium are both really great songs.

Yuck. Being the self respecting metal fanatic that I am, I'm saddened by what I see being recommended here. Most aren't metal, and when they are they are mostley garbage.

If you like bands such as those, though, you need to check out the undisputed masters of their school: Helloween. They arguably started that sound with Keepers of the Seven keys Pt 1 and made a master piece with pt II. Download 'I Want Out' 'Keeper Of The Seven Keys' 'Halloween' and say... 'Victim of Fate'. Those songs will give you an idea of how power metal should be played.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also, if you like the more progressive stuff check out the masters of 'prog power metal': Fates Warning. Their albums 'The Spectre Within', 'Awaken The Guardian' and 'No Exit' are all classics, not to mention top quality. They'd blow stratovarius out of the water any day.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Other mentions: Grave Digger - Rebellion, Running Wild - Riding The Storm. Hell, ill give you my email and we shall talk further! You're on the right track dude, keep on the metal path! There's nothing better.
