Sinkhan
Are they legitimately worth this much or is it just that a merch clan has taken hold of them. They've been skyrocketing for about a month now. This rise may or may not mean I have 4 mil gp worth of oranges in my bank now  Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
glasscube
They are worth a fair bit because you can only buy like 20 a day or something. But 1.2k seems quite inflated to me, but that is just my opinion... Help drive change Canada

Solartide
Have you ever had an orange before? Those things are delicious. 1200 is nowhere near enough money to cover the delectableness that is an orange.
Bladewing
Probably manipulation. Buy them if you need em, but don't hold large stocks is my best advice. How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit
Sinkhan
Hurrah! I guess 1 year of farming pretty much only orange trees has paid off  Time to turn in and profit. geesch
*might* be manipulation, but if it is, the clan isnt very smart. Firstly, oranges arent too easy to come by, thus making them a poor object to merch. I think its more likely that people have finally taken an interest in farming, and oranges happen to protect a fairly good tree (maples) for farm training. I always protect my maples, so i imagine its people like me who make the price keep going up.
Sinkhan
Has the price cap only recently been released? I know when bronze and iron knives let loose they exploded like crazy. Maybe oranges were always destined to be this high. In any case, I think I'm going to hold off growing curries just a little longer. Orange trees FTW Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
shawn3090
What useful function do oranges have, besides protecting maple trees? Also, it would seem that oranges should be going down due to people sitting in edge bank making fruit with their bats. [hide=Stats][/hide]"One death is a tragedy. Oranges are pretty much only useful for maples. There are so many people in this game though, so perhaps a large number have taken a liking to farming. I can't see any large particular reason for a sudden surge in farming interest. Sure herbs are nice and profitable nowadays, but the herblore update was quite a while ago. Highscore boards are also quite evident that farming isn't the most popular skill out there. My relatively paltry level 85 in farming far outranks a whole mess of 99s in other skills. NastyJenny
Cap has been removed... And there isn't any reason to have an orange tree to gather fruits if can have papaya or palm instead.
SirIzenhime
I bet people will start picking oranges up from their fruit bats now. Fisher/Woodcut------Me-----Miner/crafter----Stabber----Leecher ^Golvellius must be so proud^
Jaffy1
They are used in farming, as a payment for maple trees. As they were capped at 270 Gp for a good year (med being max and basically unable to buy in g/e) Jagex apparently decided to remove the cap.Removing the cap resulted in price rise, though I suppose the market price for them would be around 500-800 gp after they stabilise.
