Setup for getting tokkul

Featured Replies

I am thinking about getting an onyx, to sell, or to make into a fury. I have killed the thzaar (sp?) before, but never for a long time, and i need a decent setup to camp there, with maybe an inventory too

Barrows:

Verac- Helm, Brassard x 2,

Torag- Body, Hammers

Karil- Crossbow

Guthan- Body

Ahrim- Hood, Staff

levels?

btw camping them is really a waste, there are better/less boring/faster ways to get 15m

a standard setup i use to camp em for the charms:

bandos tassets/chest, whip, dfs, dboots, barrow gloves, fury, neitz. with a sgs spec and a bunyip/uni i could stay there forever.

a cheaper but still good setup would probably be

barrows armour, neitz, whip, drag sq/obby shield, barrow gloves, glory, dboots. if u got a bunyip, take it. otherwise just some low lvl food and pray whenever ur running low on food

just recharge pray in caves and the bank is 2 clicks away so restocking goes fast.

the only real way to camp em at low lvl or cheap arm is with range btw

If you really want to do it yourself, the fastest way to kill them is using Dharoks with prayer.

Dharok's is good as qeltar said. If you don't want to use dharok's, here's what I used:

Neitiznot helm, charged with combat familiar scrolls (try a mith minotaur or something, not sure what's good at 68)

Soulwars cape (or a fire cape)

Fury

Abyssal Whip

Verac's or Bandos armor

Rune Defender

Barrows Gloves

Dragon Boots

Berserker Ring

I used Dragon claws for specials. You'll want to use piety and super potions. Use a cheap food like tuna, since the bank is so close.

If you ever get that onyx, I'll buy it ;)

Killing jad gives you a ton of tokkul, if you can get good at it you'd probably make a ton.

Jad gives 16k tokkul per win...

Maxed, you can get a kill in about 45 mins. So about 20-21K tokkul per hour.

I have no idea on average how many tokkul a tzharr drop per kill, so let's say 200. You'd have to get under 100 kills/hour, while

being maxed with steel Titan, turm overloads, chaotic gear...

Dunno. Someone with more experience can clarify, I just don't think that'd work.

Drops: Black Mask.

Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff.

You can get at least 50k per hour (and likely a lot more) killing regular TzHaar.

A budget setup for ya:

Whip, Barrows, Glory, Rune Defender, Neiti Helm, Dragon Boots, Warrior Ring, Barrows gloves. Pray 10% strength and drink super strength and attack pots.

I piety the fool.

i usually just range them, with stealing kills i got like 43k tokkul per hour and (over 5 hours) an average of 365k per hour

edit: armadyl helm, rangers ammy, barrows gloves, dhide top/bottom, ranger boots, broad bolts, bss/zammy book.

Also I would recommend selling the onyx and using the money to buy a fury IF you have the junk to reach the street price, but if you don't have any junk then it wouldn't really be worth your time to get it so just make a fury. Also if you're going for maximum tokkul speed then don't pick up the charms but if you want a cheap use of blue charms at 83+ summoning then it may be worth your while to pick up 500-1k obby charms.

This after exactly an hour

Only used 4 Spec recovers and only used turmoil for specs... So could have been more

I want to assume with my setup but turmoiling and using special recovers, as well as summoning potions for constant scrolls you can get about 150k tokkul an hour or more
