Winning at Castle Wars

Featured Replies

I swear to you the last 15 games I have played have been losses. Which is 5 HOURS of my life wasted. Every one of them seemed utterly hopeless with guys who seemed to switch prayers and gear as soon as I switched styles myself, ie [bleep]ing pro pkers. So it seems less about what to do and more about what team to join. How the hell do I figure out what team to join so that I can actually get some damned tickets?

You don't.

Unless you have a high level clan, or watch the portals to see which team is going to win, there's no way to tell.

In general, I would pick Zamorak though. They generally win... <_<

What I sometimes do is after a game, I'll wait a minute or two, then go into the guthix portal, which usually will put you in the team that needs the most help, so then you can leave that portal, and go spam click the other portal until you're able to join it. Alternatively, you can wait a minute or two, join Zamorak, hover your mouse over the entire area seeing a majority of the levels, leave, join Saradomin, do the same thing, and whichever one you saw the highest levels in, join that one. The reason for waiting a minute or two is to let everyone stock up if needed and join their desired team.

But OP.... surely at your maxed stats you can use ancients and godswords/dragon claws to great effect?

I do, but most of the time the other team has like 5-6 or more mes. They must organize themselves somehow..,

On smaller worlds (W15, etc), Armas ('professional' players, usually wearing Armadyl, hence the name) don't organize themselves. At the last minute they will jump into the Guthix portal. It's either that or they have a clan chat.

What i found out

Was whoever wins the last game

well everyones gonna want to join that team right so noobs fly over there

so the higher levels switch teams and they alternate

Most of the times

I always go on the Zamorak team. Can't stand bright color schemes...

Anyway, what i want to do when i collect tickets is go into each portal, and right-click around to get the majority levels of the players. Then do the same with the other team.

Or you could actually attempt to help your team win. Such as using more powerful potions and ammo/weapons. Or maging. The amount of good flag tanks and magers are what really matter in a game.

Hexiled Razz. Player since March 8th, 2005.

I join zammy all the time. one player can make all the difference-- if you really wanna win, just max out your mage att bonus and camp outside your waiting room, making sure no one can get away with your flag.
