Summer time

Well, aside from some political activism (I'm residing in North Carolina at the moment working for Elaine Marshall for a short period), I plan on learning Spanish this summer, or at least starting my studies of it. My friend from Ecuador has agreed to help me, and she's online quite often to speak with me.

So, how about learning (or in my case, attempting to learn) a foreign language?

It'd be tough to learn from one person in a few months. If you have the opportunity, get Rosetta Stone. Ridiculously good learning software. Spanish is a great language to know here - I used it just the other day to learn some tips in our training from the trainers' work crew. Mexican dudes usually find their own ways to do things that can be helpful.

catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

The humidity here is killing me. Also, my Irish genes can't handle sunlight so I burn awfully if I'm outside for more than ten minutes. The clear skies here are stunning, though.

Exactly the same for me. Except I can be outside for more like 30 minutes.

My summer plans:

1. Sit on my ass

2. Make programs and drink lots of energy drinks and mountain dew

3.??????

4. Profit.

This summer I want to build a game which can easily be expanded with little work (after all of the hard crap is implemented and fully functional). I might recruit a couple of friends nearby to help me with this(one is a graphical artist and the other is a sound technician and producer). I get free Monster energy drinks and Mountain Dew since I have friends in high places who can give damaged packages to me.

Is it really? I torrented it (am I allowed to admit that here? lol), but I found it inadequate. Maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance. I'll try it again.

Dsavi, where comes Estonia from that list of countries?!?!? Estonia is the pearl of Baltic States!

Anyways, well we don't have a real summer, but I think 17-19 degree C swimming water is warm enough for me. If the temperature out gets over 30 degrees, I'm melting. You see, we northmen have adapted! :)

And well yesh, winter is -20 degrees C here with lots of snow. Might come over -30 degree even.

Come to think of it Estonia is a possibility, I usually go there in the fall though.

First I'm taking two summer classes for five weeks. Then hopefully going to England for a few weeks.. then I'll only have a month or so left of summer, which I'll spend reading, drawing, playing games, catching up with friends... the usual :P

Eww don't come to England, this place sucks. :wall:
