The_Mather1 Posted July 2, 2010 Share Posted July 2, 2010 Just for the record, I am the one to do the most approporiate thing here, only small islands benefit from closed ports during the plague. I however ensure not only to keep my people calm, but to use this in order to achieve better trade through trading with rich nations that are so far away (with the exception of south Africa where the plague will be avoided) that any symptoms of the plague will begin showing long before the ships get home. Remember it spread through the mediteranian, there's far more time of travelling along the coast of Africa. Also I stated a fact, though events may happen that change the end. When asked exactly why he did that the admiral answered "4 teh lulz" before dying of the black plague. In other news there is now pressure in bulgaria to get a new bleeding admiral however until such a time a ventriloquist will employ his corpse to give orders. They didn't have pristine cruise ships sailing around the Mediterranean crewed by impeccably well dressed and groomed sailors. They had dirty, rusty, ugly wooden ships crammed with crap and crewed by slaves, slave masters, and [bleep]in' pirates. This wasn't exactly the Age of Sanitation. I'll begin shipping and breeding cats with part of the plague budget. PS. Mather, we'll see how well you're doing when all your people are suffering from plague, and if Retech has a lapse of judgement and for some reason lets you get away with it, I (And I'm sure I can get people to assist me) will make sure to send you a special present. Also, Egypt is dying already as far as I'm aware. And since you're a vassal state, you can't decline offers to trade with them. Hello plague. Come to stay, have you?
