roanlo
The picture says that as your farming increases, you get greater yield. When did that lie start? I'm level 97 farm, and i still get 6 sweet corn on occasion. Of course, i may be mistaken, and there was some secret update where higher farm levels actually do something. Was there some form of update like this?

Aslan
Yes it's been like that for a while(ever since the objective update).Guess it's true then?
roanlo
Pretty sure it's not true.... There's nothing stating in any guide/knowledge base or wiki that farming gets better. Basically farming literally stops at level 85, (or 95 for daemonheim). Was actually kinda wondering if anything had any further information on it. Sy_Accursed
There was alot of debate about this when objects came out. Jagex confirmed it has always been the case but the yield increase varies from crop to crop and it is only very marginal. So it could be a case of something is average yield of 6.01 at lvl 30 then at lvl 80 its drift to 6.3 It has improved but over a sample large enough the change is so minimal that you likely to come up with average of 6 in both cases. xpx
Well, judging from the fact that someone on the herb run thread was really happy about 40 ranarr yield from 5 patches and that my max has been 56 torstol over a 500 seed period, i'd say that is the case. The increased yield isn't very big, but it certainly seems to be true. First to 99 Farming on 27. September, 2005.First to 3766 Port Score on 20. March, 2014.First to 4664 Port Score on 2. Zephy
It's a lot more noticeable on allotments and such. Disclaimer: The above is probably inaccurate.

Jaffy1
I would say that it indeed is flawed - although a higher farming level may (or may not) give chance of a higher yield, in the farming guild I am part of, the herb record of a single patch was gained by a farmer in his high 70s. The highest herb yield I have ever had was in my low 80s (am 93 now), 18 herbs. The average yields of a mid and a high leveled farmer appears to be equal (with slight deviations). This is similar when setting fletching and firemaking objectives - for the highest levels this simply no longer goes. roanlo
Well, the amount of crops you get from patches is always randomised anyway (depending on compost/sectaurs as well). The most i've gotten from an allotment patch is about 180, and the least, around 80. That includes ones that died. So not the best information. But i've gotten no more then 6 at times, and i can't even remember me farming below level 60, so i have no idea what i did then. I'm going with Paw_Claw's thing lol, 6.01-6.3 increase. I just don't see a lot of increase. Thanks anyway, if Jagex have confirmed it does increase, i'll just go with them. Even if it's a 0.01 to 0.3 increase. lagatag
This is more for allotments vs herbs, but I suppose it'd help marginally with herbs. Either way it's not a drastic increase.
SirIzenhime
HIgher farming increases your MAX yield, however it doesn't increase the chances of getting there.
