Icuownage
Okay my disadvantage about losing ships is actually a pretty serious one. Cause my advantage is to get MORE ships, then I have a high chance to lose more ships, meaning my people will be unhappy a lot of the time. If I lose that is... Plus that is CALLED SPECIALISING, I specced my race for space and research, cause that is two big parts of the game. Not my fault I thought of the game like that. Edel The loyalty gun itself, it has no defenses, it can get shot down. It's a REALLY big shaft.I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time? Nexaduro
I... think I might have done something wrong.Anyone know how to fix this? *Ahem* I feel that it is my duty, as head of the Kademi Federation, to avoid and prevent conflict wherever possible. It is with this solumn, necessary duty in mind that I propose a full unveiling of all military plans, so as to prevent preemptive strikes on an uneven battlefield so that ultimately war might be averted entirely. Wink wink hint hint bribe me.And the on I'm directing this towards knows what plans I'm talking about. ;) 10:53 PM - retech9691: I feel the need10:53 PM - retech9691: To include many chasms in my story arc10:53 PM - Resistance: You mean plotholes? archimage_a
[hide][/hide] Sufficing to say that this ship is more than 500 meters by 500 meters....So.... Options are:1 City ship, equal to 5 Developments, comes with pretty powerful shields(A star is gonna kill you as with a coronal ejection, but against most conventional weapons you will be fairly well protected), can directly mine a planet for 50% of its normal output, armed with the 1,000 drone platforms. You don't get a starting planet, instead get 20,000 resources to start you off. Also, you need to choose three shields or one or two and use one twice/thrice. OR10 developments on a planet, everything else is normal, and you get the skeleton of a city ship to start you off (100,000 of 1,400,000 resources payed off) ORRethink. Additionally, solar paneling would make hyper space fairly risky. Sorry for talking about balance again, but I really have to disagree with Icu's race.Ok, I agree, I will think up some more disadvantages...not really because the loyalty gun, but because Ico is specialising. If people whine because they didn't understand then they should probably talk to their scientists more...Not exactly like I only respond to one message a day. http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. Icuownage
It better not be a horrible disadvantage... Cause the whole I can't be friends with people more stupid than me, is quite a terrible disadvantage, and the fact my people get wheepy over every ship I lose, which is going to happen a lot if people are thinking of ganking me cause of my loyalty gun.. Icuownage
Actually no Nex, it is so I can collect orbital resources and asteroid resources without having to keep returning my ships. My refinery can refine the ores, and once they finally fill up they return home, right as my miners begin mining again, so it is a circle and everything should be constant in it. It's a REALLY big shaft.I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time? Nero
The Independent Colonies of Man was founded after the Colonial War of Independence, which saw the colonies of mankind declare independence from the core industrialized worlds of the Imperium. The War of Independence was a direct result of the exploitative positions of core world politicians to the 'fringe worlds', or colonies, who they viewed as merely an expendable work force that was required to supply cheap raw materials for the core world's benefits. However, poor working conditions, abysmal wages, and the harsh conditions of the outer worlds culminated into the forming of a number of trade unions within the mining and extracting sectors of the colonies. The forming of the unions was seen as an affront to Imperium policies, and so the Imperium dispatched strong arms to intimidate the union workers and force them to drop the policies. Instead, the unions declared a world wide strike, which after a year evolved into a system wide strike. With resources drying up fast from the colonies, the Imperium took action to bring the rebellious workers back to heel, by dispatching a war fleet to exterminate the mining outpost on Schikowski and send a clear message to the colonies. Instead what they met was a rag tag band of repurposed trade and merchant vessels, who under the leadership of a colonial unionist Varga managed to hold off and repel the Imperial ships. The Colonial War of Independence would rage for another 12 years, but by the end, without the raw material support from the rebelling colonies, the core worlds could not keep up with the demands their military required and were forced to grudgingly accept the terms of the colonists. Casualties -40%. DisadvantagesInfertility - Due to the harsh nature of the colony and fringe worlds that the ICoM citizens were initially settled on, infertility due to the unforgiving environment and atmosphere are fairly common. Population growth -10%.Medicine Shortage - Harsh environment, yadayadayada, lack of herbs and whatnot to make medicines. Average lifespan -5 years.Small Population - Long drawn out wars take their toll, and are vehemently opposed, due to the severe lack of manpower within the ICoM.
