Troacctid
You could always save up some money and get 92 prayer for Soul Split. That helped me a lot. *shrug* Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP

pgmr185
It didn't take me 35 times, but I had a lot of problems too. Just for the heck of it, try this. It's what finally pushed me over the edge. - Don't range at all. When you're frozen just use the time to heal and collect your thoughts.- When you're frozen, swap out your glory and put on a Phoenix necklace. When he hits you with his special attack it will kick in and automatically heal you out of the danger zone. I know that it won't heal as much as a sara brew, but try it anyway. Bring 3 or 4.- Get rid of the sara brews/restores and only use rocktail and prayer pots. If you're anything like me, you're spending too much time healing and fighting with reduced stats. Everyone jumps all over me when I suggest this because the phoenix necklaces and rocktail don't heal as much as the sara brews, but if you're at the end of your rope give it a shot anyway. I personally think that it both works better, and is also less expensive. It also makes for a much more relaxing battle, so you aren't constantly clicking on things like a maniac. How many p pots should i use? bring range pot? rest rocktail? should i bring bgs for spec or borrow claws I did the quest a while ago so I don't remember exactly, but you won't need many prayer pots, maybe three or four. Try and keep it as simple as possible. Don't even bother with ranging. You can do a BGS or Claws spec if you want to, but don't get hung up on it. I used a BGS, but I doubt that was what made the difference in the end. It really sounds like your major problem is that you're simply not hitting enough. Give it a shot with just a couple of prayer pots and an inventory of rocktail and see how well it works out. It'll be a cheap test to see if you're on the right track. So melee with bgs over using range? What setup would i use for this? prosy or just use general melee armor? pray mage still? Using your setup + ranging im getting him to zerker fairly easy im just running out of food in the end
Smapla
i tried the range method my first time and after i almost died, i logged out, got my z spear and meleed him to death instead. claws as spec weapon. i am not sure if it is true or not but at the time some people were saying the spear worked very well against him so i went with that. try to save at least one spec for when he goes into berserker mode (if you're using claws)
SirIzenhime
have you tried using protect from mage during the fight?A lot of people say it doesn't affect anything, but the way I see it, you're practically chugging restores anyways, it's not like you're ever short on prayer. So it's worth a shot. I beat him with around the same stats as you and left with like 9 full brews left. I wore... Niet HelmKarils topKarils SkirtD bootsAccumulatorBarrows glovesFuryD Square (lol) I used ruby and Diamond boltsWhen he goes into his melee mode, turn protect from melee on as I'm fairly sure it does help then. skylor12344
I switched to using the Rocktails + prayer pots and melee and im getting him to berzerk fairly easy so im not going to use brews/restores anymore
gda_scooby
i found kyatt never worked properly and caused more harm then good - i feel your pain becuase i had over 35k ranged exp from him alone over several nights.... i started with tort, 1:3 super restores to brews and thats it - no kyatt, no bgs. only rune c/bow and ruby and diamond bolts both (e). i found that every time i tried to use thekyatt, even while out from behind a pillar, he would shout coward and restore himself i stood behind a pillar and ranged him, then when he went beserk, tanked him toe to toe with no familiar. This worked best eventually. are you failing the same way each time?

Pretty much but im failing worse with range than i am with melee so im going to try Z spear + Karils and Rocktails + Prayer potions using piety and pro mage the whole fight

Using your setup + ranging im getting him to zerker fairly easy im just running out of food in the end It's been a while, but I think that I just used a whip (I might have tried the leaf bladed sword, but I can't remember if that's what won it for me. For some reason I thought that he was weak to stab. Not sure if that is true.). The BGS was just for the first spec, then I never used it again. I still used black d-hide, but I can't remember what I prayed. I didn't use karils because it degrades 100% whenever I die, and that got expensive. If you're running out of food maybe you can try bringing a few sara brews and using them only when your frozen or behind a pillar.
Obtaurian
I beat him without using soul split, extremes, or anything like that. My stats were only a little better than yours, I think. I used full void with a zamorakian spear, switching to a hand cannon during the freeze part. I started with a war tort and switched to a unicorn when it was gone. I used brews, super restores, rocktails, and phoenix necklaces. I used piety, switching to eagle eye for the freeze. Took me eight tries. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off. Grim_
I was able to do the nomad in a couple of tries using:Helm of neitz(e)Fury (glory works as well)unholy bookRuby bolts (e)rune c-bowblack d hide top/vamb/chapsSnake skin bootsexplorers ring (kinda pointless but w/e)two prayer potsone ranging potionBrews and restores at a 4:1 ratio (using regular restores you can brew four times before restoring)kyatt pouchdds Praying either eagle or hawk eye and generally doing as people above posted I was relatively easily able to beat nomad after getting used to him. Also prayer didn't really seem to help all too much (deflect prayers at least).
Quyneax
Personally I brought fsh for +3 range atk and +7 magic defence over neit... downside is it holds only 50 scrolls but I had 10 left so it was OK. Anyway, meleeing might be best at your levels, but it's not the setup that's the problem.
