svs
(More to come) The most of you probably came across an item, a construction or visit a place that sounds or looks rather familiar.Perhaps you've even learned about some in your history lessons or read up on them in magazines or any other sources for that matter. Jagex gets lots of inspiriation out of the worlds history, they also get lots of inspiration from fairy tales and folklore. Here's a list of extraordinary items and places that also "exists" outside of Runescape.I hope i may increase this list with your own findings.Don't call me a troll for making a mistake, i got all this info myself so just point me towards my mistake so perhaps we can work on fixing it rather than creating more trouble. Disk of ReturningDropa Stones, Dropa Stones imageThese are strange stone disks that upposedly are fake artifacts.Seemingly an alien vessel should have crashed on earth in the year 1014 ago and the aliens, the "Dzopa" couldn't return to their planet. In time all alien survivors have all been killed or sacrificed by the local earthly inhabitants.I'm still trying to find out what those disks were used for, perhaps they were trying to use those disks to leave planet earth. - The Holy GrailHoly GrailWell, most people know the history that comes with the holy grail but there's a few gaps that can't be filled. It's now being suggested that the holy grail is infact not an artifact like we used to know it in the form of a cup, a dish or a plate nor jesus his sangreal as some of you might know it (the cup used to drink the red wine "blood of jesus" on the last supper)They are speculating that at the time the grail was getting shape, by the time the legend was born a new definition for grail also arised, in the form of something that one can't grab (i know i'm bad at explaining stuff in english)The holy Grail might as well be the last supper. - Firelighters (Can't find a link to tip it's firelighters)How to: make firelightersWell i think everyone knows what a fire lighter is but how about making one irl?Click the above link, there's also a method explained which is nearly identical to the Rs method. - Court Cain/Cairn Isle (No link but you all know it's that little island involved in the legends quest which is located just of the west coast of karamja.Court Cains, Google imagesIn real life one could find a Court Cain somewhere in the southwest of Scotland. There's more Courts than just the one in Scotland. You might also have noticed some kind of stone tables/archways around RS (Tree gnome village/stronghold, druids circle, to name a few). Those are stone slabs constructions known as hunebeds or dolmens (= stone tables).Court Cains are places that are surrounded by hunebeds, below these courts are burial tombs. - [~Visit my Slayer Blog~] Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. Sy_Accursed
So for disk of returning you just picked the first utterly random object that was a ring shape and obscure? Theres absolutely no evidence disk of returning has links to ANY real world item Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
Riemis
Aren't all the stone statues pointing towards one point, involved in one of the camelot quests? About the others things: nice finds, some of them seem far-fetched tho :) RuneScape Revolution (Dutch)

Theres absolutely no evidence disk of returning has links to ANY real world item No, but we may speculate, this is how better theories are uncovered. And no rsriemis i don't think they are actually involved in any quest or pointing towards one point.Maybe slightly involved in one quest? :P [~Visit my Slayer Blog~] Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. Sy_Accursed
The mysterious heads are used in the Holy Grail. If you don;t use a guide and read the dialogue the entrance to the fisher king realm is found where their gaze intersects. On the world map if you trace their lines of sight they all overlap under that tower on Karamja where the entrance to the Fisher Kings Realm is. Quyneax
Koschei and Baba Yaga come to mind. And of course the entire king Arthur's court business, they even refer to it in-game. AlexRose
Promethium (the Tier 10 Metal in Dungeoneering) is a very Radioactive element in Real Life. Somewhat fitting, considering the corrupted and warped nature of Deamonheim.
