i have been seeing a lot of people posting about how the stats of the new gear is bad, badly thought out etc..

 

TT rewards have never had amazing stats, they are 95% looks and 4% rarity. If you expected stats from them, IMO you should have considered other TT rewards and the stats they provided.

 

What do you guys think? Should the items given have better stats than those given in other clues?

Although yes, I agree. Clues never did provide any worthwhile gear, except perhaps rarities like the Zamorak Book, some 3A gear, and bob shirts.

And ranger boots.

You'd except the new god books to be more useful than the current ones. :|

There are some good pieces...3a Magic Ammy and Hood have the highest non-degradable magic bonuses. Although I don't think people are angry, but they did screw up the economy even more.

The coif and amulet were best in their class for a long time, until GWD and Dungeoneering happened.

You are completely right; although I don't see many people angry about it. I think disappointed would be a better term.

 

Personally, I wasn't disappointed at all as I didn't expect any new super-powerful or useful armor. The new releases fit in perfectly with what we already have. Blessed D'hide in Armadyl and Bandos flavour can be put to good use at the GWD, but other than that, not very much of it is very useful. But looking back at the old treasure trail rewards, how much of it was very practical in the first place? Zammy books are good for low levels and for rangers still, and Zamorak/Saradomin d'hide is still used at GWD. And the cloaks and mitres even see some use in certain situations, such as rock lobsters. But the rest of it? Hardly ever seen or used. Sure the 3rd Age stuff has nice stats and looks amazing, but due to prices only sees very limited use.

 

I'm pleased with the update and it will provide plenty of new rewards for treasure hunters to potentially earn some money from.

"Elite" would signify BETTER rewards then level 3 clues. The god books aren't better.

I think that's exactly what I said on the other thread actually... :thumbup:

There weren't many (any?) "lone" items with this addition. Most everything came in sets...

However, to be fair, many people have requested Zaros-trimmed rune over the years, and to be honest I like the white-spraypainted Armadyl.

personally i dont care,the only tt rewards i'll ever ever ever buy are god pages,and ranger set,aint much else worth anything,i mean i'll take the cash from clues since others like it,but for low stats and all fashion?no thanks for me

God book pages are not level 1, they're all-level. They have a chance of being in any clue regardless of level.

 

Personally, I don't really see these new rewards as anything other than "bank loot." It is nice however that they created blessed dragonhide armor! That has been a great player suggestion for the longest time. I'm pleased to see they added it in.

 

I can understand people's upset with this, but this happens with every update. People blow expectations out of proportion, myself included. It didn't help that this update was delayed and delayed and delayed though. If anything, that only fanned the flames of 'fury'.
