So I have been looking all day for a clan that fit my play style and also used vent for communication with no luck. I have decided instead of a clan I will just host a vent where people can come and go as they please idependent of being tied to a clan. I was just curious if there was any interest on tip.it for something like this. Give me some feedback and maybe we can get a little vent community going.

We had something like this in the past but it pretty much died out. (I have my own clan and team audio so I won't really use it.)

these types of servers have been tried over the years and they have never kept up long, not to discourage you but I think yours will meet the same fate.

Well that is a bummer. Do you know if they died out because people just stopped getting on vent or because the owners quit paying for the server?

People stopped getting on vent. The teenage American accent is enough to put anyone off vent.

OT: Many times people put them up, people join, and slowly drift away. It's a lot easier to just hop on the Tip.it IRC if you want to have a chat with them.

Considering I've lived in the U.S. my whole life, I guess you could say I'm immune to it (I'm immune to my own accent :unsure: )

Public vents never work.

 

P.S. Teenage Scottage accents = death to my ears.

They all pretty much die out since it is not officially ran by Tip.It.

It's a well known fact that 60% of the time, RS vent servers fail all of the time.

 

All it takes is one high pitched "HEY GUISE HOW D'YOU MINE GOLD IS THAT A GODSWORD? OH-EM-GEE YOU'RE SO COOL! ELL-OH-ELL!" and everyone's killed themselves.

I tried to make a TS server once and I couldn't even get people to try and join. I would come to the vent server but for some reason all sounds cut off of vent when I get on RS
