I have about 60mil to spend right now on new gear. I need it for slayer/training/etc... I have always wanted dragon chain, it was one of my most sought after items back before I had a large amount of money but with all the other items added I dont think its worth it. I was thinking dragon pl8, legs, and maybe a bss, Id like a set of armor that doesn't degrade. Id buy bandos but that would be about 2/3 of my money, if the prices were the same as last summer id buy it in a heartbeat. I want a set of non-degrading armor

 

 

 

List of what I have:

All Barrows Sets

Fury

Seers/Archer ring/wealth/explorer. (I was thinking about getting a new ring so suggestions on this)

Whip

Soul Wars Cape (would fire cape be better or is the prayer bonus an advantage?)

rune defenders

The degrading is really very minimal. The cost is almost nothing, and you have quite a bit of combat time before you have to degrade. If you want to upgrade past barrows, the only other armor I'd suggest would be Bandos. If you don't want to buy bandos, stick with barrows (verac's skirt being one of them).

 

Berserker ring would be an upgrade.

 

Do you have barrows gloves or dragon boots?

 

Keep your rune defender.

Yeah I have d boots and barrows gloves, I have always been a strict supporter of using barrows but I finally have some money so I felt like I should try something else

Barrows has the best defensive stats in the game. If you want something with prayer, just use Prossy or Veracs. Really the only other set of armor that would be useful that you do not have is bandos, but even then, I personally believe barrows is better.

 

It is definitely a lot better for the money. If you have 60 mil why not try getting magic/prayer up. Just a suggestion.

Dragon isn't better than barrows at slayer. It never is and never will be. It's only better at places where you almost never get hit, and even then it's more practical to just use barrows than buy dragon.

Why won't he need that defensive for slayer? Is it because of summoning/enhanced excalibur/prayer?

Sell full dharok, verac, and karils and buy dfs + full bandos + bezerk/warrior ring.

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

Because its currently the best armor in game? i rephrased my last messege, sell torags+guthans and get 85 herblore and higher mage/prayer with whats left.

1.You dont need all that def in slayer

2.You can sell back any armor, making it virtually free.

Best bang for your buck:

 

Karils top and bottom (6M)

Verac Helm (4M)

Verac Skirt (2M)

Torag Body (600K)

Berserker Ring (4M)

Whip (3M)

Dragon Claws (33M)

Fury (16M)

 

DO NOT GET:

-- Bandos (too expensive for you)

-- DFS (too expensive for you)

-- Dragon items (useless statwise and don't actually make you look good - makes you look nooby)

-- BGS/ZGS/AGS (all useless and outdated, though SGS is still useful)

 

Since money is an issue for you I suggest using proselyte top and verac bottom when possible. Generally praying piety/turm is worth the money though.

 

If you mage, add a Ahrim/Sol too

Berserker ring and Karils firstly, then get the items that aren't necessary such as Bandos, Dragon Claws, ect.

 

Also herblore would be a good investment with the remaining cash.

Claws isn't unnecessary... it's the most powerful item in the game and reasonably cheap

 

Also, i'm of the opinion pray > herb b/c 1) cheaper 2) SS/turm is really really useful

get ext pots. i spent the money on them and im glad did, it makes a huge difference. buy bandos if yo u have enough moeny left over, you can safley sell dh. you dont really need it.

My opinion would be to sell everything then do the following:

 

Buy Dragon Claws - Basically the best spec weapon when it comes to dealing damage and if you are into pvp it's a amazing investment.

Buy a Abyssal Whip - A no brainer, really.

Buy a Fury amulet - Best amulet, you can afford getting it.

Buy good armor - i have no clue what you should get, but i guess verac skirt and torag plate. Gives good defence and some prayer bonus, when you face monsters that you need to pray against you just wear full proselyte.

Buy a Berserker ring and dragon boots.

 

After that you should save the money until you can either get high herblore or 95 prayer, both are very useful in pvm and the latter being VERY helpful in pvp.

Sell all barrows sets but keep v skrit, ahrim, karils and guthan/torag/dharok plate, the plates all have the same def so pick which you like best (guthan for me) or what's cheapest. DON'T get dfs unless you intend to camp wyverns or tank something really strong (GWD, Supreme). Get 95 prayer, 96 herb, 88 (or 96) summ and bandos + zerker + rapier.
