How useful is 70 prayer at my level?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone. For some weird reason I'm suddenly finding myself with 9m cash atm (normally I'm thinking I'm rich with 2m lol) and I'm thinking of something to do with it. 70 Prayer would cost about 10.5m (so I could sell my d axe) and I'd be pretty much sorted for prayer then. Or should I use the 10m for increasing other skills (levels in sig)?

Would getting a high mage level be more useful than 70 prayer? I know 70 gives me piety and what not. Thanks! :D

70 Prayer would be far more useful to you than a higher level magic. This coming from a lvl 98 magic, you don't really train magic for its overwhelming usefullness, you train it because you want it or like it.

70 Prayer is definitely worth it, and it'll just become more and more useful. I'd wait, however, and make some more money (MTK comes to mind) so you don't break your bank for it.

I agree. Make some more cash first, then get 70 prayer. Piety really owns.

Get prayer! Always useful. And I mean always. When using melee, that is.

Personally, I would agree with the general believe that Piety IS WORTH IT.

However, I would suggest you consider how long you took to get the money you have...

IF the answer is a loooong time, get the bones yourself, or at least half. Which shouldn't really take that long.

IF you have a viable money making method, which makes the money back faster than the time it takes you to get the bones yourself. Then yeah, spend the cash.

IF you couldn't care less and just want to kick more ass for little combat level gain, then spend the money anyway.

Hope this helps, Ginger Bits.

SO what im ginger, I fry in the sun, and have a temper, at least I can laugh at myself.

I recently got Piety and it can be quite usefull BUT it drains fast, wich means you need prayer boosting gear and prayer potions (7-5.k ea). The gear for a decent prayer bonus lacks good defence stats --> you'll get hit more often --> more food or a bunyip. My advice is to get 68 summoning BEFORE 70 prayer. I'm not saying piety is bad, but imo it's more usefull with a bunyip. (Also 68 summoning allows you to use a pack-yak).

For this reason people use Verac's skirt + prossy top + sw cape + fury (+29 prayer bonus, +250ish defence bonusus). Don't forget piety has +25% defence as well. And you can bring food anyway, but not some familiar with +25% defence and +23% strength AND +20% attack.

I believe Oneg means that instead of a pack yak (like mentioned by Ares) and instead of a pack yak it is in fact a war tort.

Finally on here to update that I have officially quit! It's been fun.

lol srry, i meant war tort.

It's true that verac skirt + prossy + fury + soul wars cape give decent def but those are not easy to obtain at lower levels, that's why i'm mentioning it.

Sure they are. Well, the first two are, anyway.
