Vulxai
You could superheat (don't do gold, since the gauntlets don't work for the weekend), that'll get you smithing + mage experience. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~

blakdragon39
Iron or higher platebodies? There's even that new dungeoneering reward that can make it so you might lose less bars.

That ability is only for the ring of kinship and can only be used inside of daemonheim.

Low C
Adamant bars would probably be best to buy if you can make stuff with it that is. Cannonballs with steel would be a decent alternative if you don't want to lose much money though.
Technologic
It all depends on how much cash you have. If you have alot, make the highest platebodies you can, unless you love sc or don't have money to spare, then superheat. Real men get 99 str on cows 8-). pgmr185
For the XP weekend you probably want to do whatever will get you the fastest XP, most likely platebodies. Gold with gauntlets may be a good way to train on a normal day, but for this weekend you want to cram as much XP into as short a time as you can. Keep in mind that you can always get double XP with the Stealing Creation hammers, so smithing XP might not be a priority this weekend.
Quyneax
The scroll of efficiency saves very few bars on higher-level metals, which you'd use on the xp weekend. Also, weekend bonus xp =/= sc bonus xp as it requires no time to obtain. SC hammers don't boost xp rates that much, but they reduce costs and/or make for a nice break in training. If you want to smith on the XP weekend, I'd do the best plate you can (in your case, steel). If you can get 68 smithing before the weekend you can do mithril plates. Ezkaton
Yeah I agree with these guys..... Highest Plate you can to get smithing up quickly. After the exp weekend do SC to get the hammers for the other levels you may want. Reacting impulsively and saying what's on your mind feels oh so good.. for a little, until you realize you just started WWIII.2672nd person to reach 2496 total. Thanks to Wicked for the awesome siggy :D
