The Great Unknown

Well what we could do is have my original party, and then Grim can lead the other party with you. Then maybe we can try and recruit an NPC with the magic opposite from yours. I dunno if there's an opposite for allomancy, so maybe consider geomancy (opposite being air)

And the opposite of a Sound Mage would be...

Uh...

A sight mage?

A touch mage?

A taste mage?

Erm, a smell mage?

It's a mystery. :-k

And I like allomancy. It's shiny.

Void Magic isn't shiny in the least.

I'm afraid I'd have to kill any Void Mage I came across.

To answer your earlier question: Opposite of sound mage is silence mage.

And silence mages have a tendency to be either useless or deadly, depending on conditions.

So are Grim and Nex forming an accompanying party with Tech, or is Nex just looking to join Tech's ranks?

Oh, and just for the record, the leader only makes "leadership" decisions, like which direction people go, or how they'll approach a certain problem. They don't decide what everyone does every second that they're alive. (For NPCs, whoever warranted the creation of the NPC gets to make most of its decisions.)

Now, onto the actual gameplay...

Team Unnamed

Mather strains his back while moving the rubble, and sits down. Soon, he falls asleep.

Earth hits his thumb while trying to make medical equipment.

Team Trinity

Isabel's enchant goes awry, and her staff is sucked into the void.

Grim enchants his staff into a flaming halberd. It's on fire, and never seems to burn out.

Jen miscasts and makes some spikes that point inwards as opposed to outwards.

Hm, actually...

Team Styrkur

Syllelin - Female Allomancer

Kerdur - Male Allomancer

Talchin - Me

We're all wearing gray robes with an elaborate image of a winged knight with upturned arms in a circle of six outward-pointing swords surrounded by flames (the designs are outlined and detailed in black with no other colours). Talchin has heavily damaged, skeletal steel wings fused to his back and folded against him. Our staves are currently in the shape of arm and leg bracelets. We're all fairly reserved personalities. Kerdur is generally soft spoken and kind, Syllelin is a bit cold but willing to fight for her friends and allies, and Talchin is a bit absentminded and curious.

I'd like to start near another player/players/a town. I'd appreciate railroading in the general direction of team Trinity.

Erm, I assume they'd have to be mages. I was kinda going to have them be monks of some sort. :D

I'm the same as they are.

I could do something along the lines of co leader with retech's party or have a joint party (ie a sub team of team trinity [possibly team leviathan?]) Which would fill out like:

Team Leviathan:

Grim (Fire Mage)

Koriagla (Nature mage [yes I recycle names])

Sir Henry (Warrior) Starts with an iron short spear

Klemos (Archer) Iron composite bow 30 arrows

Grim, if you're making an assisting party, max no. of characters including yourself is 3 at start. Essentially, beginning teams start with a max of 3 people that can go up as they do stuff.

Nex - Okay, let me make another party sheet.... *grumble mumble* You leave town, in which direction do you head?

Well then Team Leviathan is now:

Grim (Fire Mage)

Koriagla (Nature mage [yes I recycle names])

Sir Henry (Warrior) Starts with an iron short spear

Grim attempts to create a camp fire while Koriagla attempts to commune with the local animals. Sir Henry keeps watch.

A warrior? He is heathen to our ways!

Jen makes Isabel a regular magical ice polemace (basically so it doesn't break), while Grim melts the ice spikes with his halberd. (Last use of Grim :))

Then Jen attempts to make the spikes outward, and the peoples prepare with their traditional spells.

Retech treat team Leviathan as a support group (I've got to go for now but still) Also don't use Koriagla as a DPS kind of guy he is more along the lines of support (ie summons allies [crocs etc] to do the heavy lifting [or scouting])

Back into town, with the intent of getting a pack animal of some sort. :)

Failing that, or afterwards:

North, following whatever roads we come across.

Team Stryrkur

You head north, and are ambushed by thieves, who wound all three of you mildly. What do you do?

Team Leviathan

You leave town, in which direction do you head?

Team Trinity

Jen would have to be a craftsman to make any suitable type of weapon for use by another.

The one you let join your party as Grim suddenly burst into a flurry of flames, which grow higher, and higher... and eventually takes the form of a two-story-tall fanged demon, who tries to swat Elisa into the darkness, but misses.

(I'll be darned if I let the three of you and your NPCs all come together at once and create a small army....)

Jen prepares some ice shards, while Elisa charges beams of light from her staff. Isabel forms some shadow tentacles. Jen also makes new ice spikes to replace the old ones, facing outwards. They wait for the growling.

Team Trinity

Jen launches some ice shards at the demon, who is hit in the eyes. Demon is now blind. +0.1 ice.

Elisa miscasts and accidentally launches herself into the fog of the swamp, away from the group. A thud is heard a few yards away, presumably Elisa hitting a tree.

Isabel does the same, although she doesn't fly nearly as far, and doesn't hit a tree.

Flossom tries to bite the demon, but misses.

The demon swings at what he thinks is Jen, but misses and falls on his face.
