October 2, 201015 yr So Im going to get another chaotic weapon soon. Should I get rapier or longsword? Im ONLY going to be doing frosties and tds. This video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNKNelRuyO4&feature=grec_browse made me rethink. Longsword is pretty good against dragons.
October 2, 201015 yr Lol he isn't killing very fast. Rapier. OP even admits rapier is better. Don't be blinded by the high hits. It's a far higher dps, especially on frost dragons and other dragons. The Z spear has even been rated above the cls at frosties.

October 3, 201015 yr Rapier>ZS/CLS at FrostiesBut Longsword is by far the better choice for TD's. So its up to you depending on which of the two you think you will do more. But they are both adequate at both places.

I hit pretty frequently at TDs with rapier too, though, but I don't have cls to compare. rapier works pretty well on tds, i can get 32 kills in a >40 minute period (something between 35 and 40 minutes) which equates to about 48 kills per hour excluding banking. i don't have a longsword but am considering getting one because if it is actually superior, i might break 50 kills / hour what's more important at tds is skill in switching, luring, etc
