Either a thief or a monk. Thats my choice.

Pick any class you like, we're not playing to power through the game, or munchkin it. Just do whatever you'd get it.

Thief then. Monk would have been fun, but then i realized I usually pick pockets and set traps for people, then i stab them.

Earth this is pretty much like ross's D&d in that you really have to show up when it's on. I could in theory do a barbarian or some sort of caster (How powerful are clerics in game [is there metamagic?])

Clerics are the guys/gals who heal/buff/cure other characters, so by themselves they're hardly a powerhouse that'll go running around slaying dragons, but without a cleric in the party you're [bleep]ed. Completely and totally.

 

I probably won't play simply because my school schedule wouldn't allow me to play on weeknights.

We'd probably run our session on the weekend anyways.

However! There's so far been 10 people who have said they are interested, but there's only 6 party slots in BG2. I have a feeling though that some won't get the game or just decide not to show up, so it's alright.

My copy arrived today, and theres no installation key, which hopefully means that it can be installed on this laptop, and then again on my new computer once it arrives.

 

I'm up for doing some tests as long as they've over by 12:00 PM GMT.

 

Edit: Headset just arrived too. Hells yeah.

Yea there's no cd keys or copy protection or anything.

 

And I set up a vent server

IP: 192.168.2.10

Port: 3784

Been a while since I used Vent, so I might screw up trying to connect.

 

It's been contacting the server for an awfully long time now.

 

Edit: It really doesn't seem to want to contact the server.

Works fine for me. Can you try disconnecting and reconnecting to your internet then trying again?

 

Oh, and are you using a router?

 

edit: Apparently the old ventrilo clients (2.xx whatever) can't connect to servers made with the new one (3.xx), so that might be it as well.

I am, and I would, but time runs short.

 

It may take a little while to set up the new computer tommorow, so don't expect me to be online till like 8:30.
