Since the first city has become pretty full, I've decided to start a second one, Tipitopolis, city of the future. It's 1024ÃÆÃââââ‰â¬

the first one isnt done yet, and this is basicly pointless, everything can be added to tip.it city, as we are making it larger... i implore everyone to just add buildings to the original

Hmm, when I mentioned the idea in the original thread people seemed to agree. I'm not forcing anyone to add, it's their choice.

This is a good idea. The latest stuff added to the other city doesnt seem to be that good. Most of the good artists already submitted their work early on and the latest stuff just seems a bit bland or isnt even true isometric. I also like the idea that this one has a theme. I might draw a little bit if i get bored later at work, otherwise ill have a go when i get home.

ok if the 'good artists' cant be bothered to make more for the original why would they make more for a continuation of an unfinished project?

Its hardly "the original" theres been several Tipit City pics made in the past. Its certainly not an official competition to make the best building or anything. Like you said, it's a little too big. However, it's very nice and clean, you certainly seem to have that part down. Try lowering it a little and add a few more details. Flats don't have to look like a single block of concrete.

I posted my first EVER iso pixel image into the first city so im certainly not one to talk about only letting good people play. But it would be nice if people actually followed the rules by posting in real isometric. Thats why this new city is around. Its also got a set theme so should promote something a bit more original than a concrete block or something ripped from DevArt... you know who you are.

one quick question, what about sizing? if you look at the other city you have places like the bank, which seem to be on a smaller scale then other buildings, i.e. terley's skyscraper. (compare windows, etc)

Use the Caf̮̩̉̉ as reference maybe, its approx the same scale as the one i am working on.

When the entire city is done, I'll upload the .gal for all GraphicsGale users, and maybe I'll convert it to .psd as well. Each building will be a sepperate layer with the name of the creator and the date it was added in the layer name.

The cafe looks really cool ^_^
