December 12, 200520 yr Reason for this thought: In the last few days I've been collecting a myriad of items from different places and one idea that keeps coming up are horses, now I personally don't support this decision. But the basic idea of travel without teleports and agility shortcuts for lower level players is important. I don't pretend to have done my best to aquire maximum traveling potential; 61 agility, glory ammulets, teleport spells and rings of dueling are my modes of transportation. But certain areas I must admit require much distance that my top 20 thousand agility level falls far short of reaching. Examples of this are Lord Iorwith's camp over in Isafdar, or the Slayer Dungeon to the East of Fremmenick. Solution: Why not put in a new run speed, such as "Jog". It would be faster than walk, but slower than run. Conserving energy speed and ultimately getting farther off the same amount of energy. People who run races in real life don't sprint the whole way, they pace themselves so they can make it all the way to the end, instead of running out of energy halfway there. Also pertains to tasks such as runecrafting, when you have to make many trips to the same place, it wears down your energy slowly until you either have to walk there or wait for more energy. This was sort of impromptu and I'm pretty sure I'm adressing the wrong crowd because this is directed more at lower players who can't get around as easily. But please feel free to critcize or show support, if you have suggestions you can always PM me on Voodoo567 or on here. Supporters: =) 1. Voodoo567 2. Shade_bandyt 3. Carson 4. Cubed_Boid 5. -KFK-
December 12, 200520 yr omg i love this idea!!!!!!! seriuosly. walking is really slow, a bit leisurely. and run is like a sprint. i use it when fighting hill giants in edgeville dungeon to beat other players to the first hit. but jogging, for covering long distances on less energy (most work related tasks, etc) at half the energy rate, that would be a great improvement. i hope jagex implements this Are you a member with a full bank and cancelling your subscription? December 13, 200520 yr how about an option were it calcilates your weight and finds how fast you can run without going down to 0 run or remaining the same energy. this option can be called jog like was stated earler.
December 13, 200520 yr You could make Agility affect running speed as well as energy restoration. Why do you resist? My experiments are only helping humanity push the boundaries of the Art of Toxicology... you should be proud to be one of my victims. ~Toxicologist~
December 13, 200520 yr Author Hmm, I could see a whole new weight system or even a new agility style, but it just seems like alot of work compared to creating a new speed 1/2 as fast and a 1/4 of the energy with weight only affecting 1/2 as much. They already have the pre applied numbers so the math wouldn't be too hard. (Those numbers are something I just came up with, no testing has been done I cannot approve them fully)
December 13, 200520 yr I support... don't know why... but the whole energy idea just isn't to great in Runescape.
December 13, 200520 yr The "jog" idea sound interesting! I am also tired of walking and sprinting, i am also sick of the high agility lvl you need for the shortcuts. The horse feauture sounds cool too! But he thing is, that what about all the high lvl agility people that have used hours and hours getting high lvl's! I guess they will get pretty mad when they see low lvl's "whooming" past them on a horse? (Got it?) BUT, there is allways a sulution =) I support! =) Thanx, -KFK-

December 13, 200520 yr Runs alright how it is.....i dont see any need to change it...im sure Runescape wasnt meant to be a breeze to get around in, like instantly there...or instantly here but they have implimented (spelling?) many forms of quicker travel, such as magic carpets, cart from brimhaven to shillo village, the ship to ardy from brimhaven, tree spirits and the hanglider system and probably more that i cant think of  so just learn to live with what is available... December 14, 200520 yr When RuneScape first came out there was no such thing as energy, there was fatigue, and instead of having to wait for everything to recharge, you merely had to carry around a nice sleeping bag and sleep for about a minute, type in a few letters, and you were back on your feet. Add your blog to the BlogScape Index!SaidinWoT can now be tracked easily on weekends - Erm, maybe when I start playing again.Levels do not measure intelligence OR maturity.
December 14, 200520 yr You could make Agility affect running speed as well as energy restoration. that AND jogging :D 100% noob since 2001
December 15, 200520 yr one question...can you even run in armour??? i think that when ou wear armour you shouldn't be able to run really fast but maybe kinda like something a little bit faster than a run. Weapons too should affect how fast you run cause i know that when you run it help a lot when you use your arms. I support this idea You have the right, and people have the right to hate you for it.Thus, the circle of life is complete.Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.

December 15, 200520 yr how about simply, the higher agility lvl you are the faster you run? increasing mybe every 10 lvls Lastfm
December 15, 200520 yr That's what I said lol. But anyways, I would like to expand on the idea: apart from agility making you run faster, make weight decrease your running speed as well. For reality's sake, as well as for making certain aspects of the game more... balanced? No, that isn't the word. I think this idea would also make Karil's set more useful, if Agility affects speed.
