So is the UN legally binding? I don't think that the UN can bring lawsuits like that.

The Mod can do anything, ignoring the real world as and when required.

But yeah, The Medical Board are powerful, since the world is pretty much running on anti-age cream, cures for the bazzillion super-viruses that our immune system can't handle and the ever present threat of Japanese Anthrageddon.

So the Medical Board claims something, the UN go 'Damn, what do they want now' and then vote to have all pizzas to wear wigs...or whatever the nutters want now.

Not paying the fine will probably have consequences.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Okay, I'll pay the fine.

Nero, I'd like to withdraw 80k of the money I donated to the ship fund please.

Urm, I'll claim 2,000 from that, leaving 6,000 between Dmitri and Theros.

Jen I'd be surprised if he'd allow that. Infact it's a little surprising that you haven't gotten caught for cheating almost every nation on Earth.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

It's not freakin cheating. I am selling to one nation, then convincing other nations that they need it. If the other nations don't want to buy, then they don't have to. They'll just suffer the consequences on the battlefield.

Besides, I was going to sell just to the Japanese, but Nero didn't want to get them overpowered, seeing as I do so many more puzzles.

Also, if anyone is interested in using tech I develop, please send puzzles my way as payment. :)

The only difference between a disagreement between friends, an argument between strangers, and a feud between enemies is the ability to reconcile.

Example, guy sells you a toy, says it's much cooler than everyone else's toy. You buy the toy and then go to the playground and notice everyone with that toy, are you pissed?

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I'll claim my 3,000 and give it to Icu for use in paying back the ship. After all, it's not like I'm gonna use it...

Also, I chuck all my other (30k) credits into the "Ship Donation" box. Iirc, Nero mentioned something about my fine being lowered, so I'm cool now, right?

First thing I do next session is hold a big-ass multi-nation auction for the ion cannons. Hoo boy, this'll be fun...

a70c7.png

Well it's more like this:

I sell a kid a cool toy. Then I go up to another kid, who is jealous of the other kid having a cool toy, convincing him to buy a cool toy too. Then all the kids in the playground don't want to be left out, and they buy the toy too.

Hence how Pokemon became so popular.

Original kid is pissed. Someone will still get pissed along the way.

Basically, you can't sell to everyone claiming what you claimed. Also the fact that peddling technology for war is a crime I think.

Also no Pokémon became popular cause of the randomness in the packs you bought, people wanted the powerful crap so they bought and bought and bought until they had it. If they saw someone with it, they wanted it. If you get what you want straight away, it doesn't really market well.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

Selling technology for war is a crime?!? Are you freakin kidding me? Almost every nation that produces weapons on this planet sells weapons to other nations. It makes logical sense, to make money and boost your allies up.

Also, I've already decided that the profit from peddling around is too low, so I will go with Theros' idea of an auction in the future.

Naww it's companies with a lisense that sell tech I believe.

Most of them do it covertly without arousing suspicion. Plus I think it is.

Jen, you don't need to list the things you have the ability to make...Sending me a PM about what goes into your suit...that would be handy.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Except that lots of it is government technology, which requires government permission to market it. Essentially government transactions.

All I know is that there probaly isn't an international binding law which prohibits the sale of arms, or in this day and age, technology.

----

Arch, I need to, because around half of it isn't ship tech. It's not listed under the ship inventories. It hasn't been growing much since I was working on just the shields, but it seems that nations don't pay much for increased levels, so I'll be making a lot of different things.

Good idea with the puzzle card. I'd like mine to be mostly full of cryptos.

Apparently, according to Wikipedia, you need to have a contract from your government

The extract reads

"Contracts to supply a given country's military are awarded by the government"

As you are not a company but I think part of the military (if you're not then I don't know) then all your designs now belong to Japan. If you do not work for Japan and are your own seperate thing, then your designs belong to you, but I guess you'd need a contract to sell them to a specific country. Which you do not own.

That was my general plan...and by general plan I mean it is what I have already done.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Oh Arch, if the data on how to make a suit is on the AI, then do you keep the suit when you die?

Also, will shields replenish when out of combat?

Awesome Arch, yes!

Well, since Jen is not military and on international soil (or rather gravity plating) then I guess she counts as her own nation and is unnafected by those laws.

No and Yes.

The suit will be damaged and require repairs if you die. If you die with it badly damaged(like 4 deaths without repairing it) then it will be destroyed and you will need to by a new one.

Shields will regenerate outside of combat...though obviously it takes time.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.
