Neltak
I'm just curious if there's a standard, or somewhat universal viewpoint on which skill it is best to use experience lamps on. If gp/h is an issue (which I feel like it should be) then assume 1M gp/h. Also if there's any suggestions (based on efficiency preferably) which skill they're best used on in my unique situation, shout them out. Thanks everyone. :)
civie
Anything that's slow or expensive to train, e.g. prayer, summoning, herblore, runecrafting. Perhaps also Dungeoneering. For skill pures, Constitution. I myself plan on dumping it all on prayer: no big-spending money on bones. green9090
Summoning if you're not 96, because it's slow AND expensive. After that, prayer/herb if you're poor and runecrafting if you're not. ultimatballr
I use mine on Herblore because of how expensive it is now. If you are making 1m/hr then you should use it on something that takes longer to train up.. like RC'in, Slayer, Farmin, Agility or Summoning. But I mean if you plan on training Slayer (because you are not 99 yet) then there really is no need to use it on Summoning, because with 99 slayer you will get to, if not very close to, 99 Summoning. If you do Farming runs in between each task and a tree run at the beginning or end of the day.. eventually on the road to 99 Slayer you will get 99 Farming or again very close to. I don't know your stats so this is just speculation. Apparently, my signature was to big.
Kensei
Since I'm F2P, I always use it on prayer.
xpx
If your ultimate goal is to max out some day, i think there are only 3 options: RC- deadfully slow(and boring).Prayer and herblore- ridiculously expensive. At 1m an hour, prayer and herblore are somewhat more efficient, but it changes alot from there on. RC becomes the most efficient from around 1.5m income. First to 99 Farming on 27. x1strife
If you don't slay often and don't have a lot of charms, then Summoning would be a good idea, also herb, prayer, same as everybody else mentioned. Although once you get a spirit kyatt summoning speeds up x2, and I never even found it slow to train to begin with, just a hassle to get lots of charms. Sy_Accursed
General Consensus subject to your likes/dislikes is: Summoning - cause its expensive and a chore (getting charms)Prayer - cause its expensiveHerb - expensiveRC - cause its slow as heck Though obv other skills you may hate are good options too Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue

Aiel
fishing.wat. Fishing is like woodcutting, you can click the rocktail spot and then walk away for a few minutes.its also arguably the slowest skill in game. DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty). Grimy_Bunyip
I personally would not consider 99 herblore or prayer for lamps, as im 99 in both and fairly rich. Runecrafting is not a bad option for non-dragonkin-lamps.but once you're high level, you can assist other people's effigies for good xp. And dkin lamps aren't good at lower levels. that really leaves agility, mining, and fishing. Agility is click intensive, but can go up to 100k xp/hour with a good BA team.mining is only about 55-60k xp/hour, but you can LRC superheat. (but you might not need smithing/magic xp)Fishing is 40-50k xp/hour afk ish, to ~70k active xp rate. I would not use lamps on fishing at low fishing levels though, as fish flingers is up to 80k xp/hour, obscenely afkeable, and the xp rate actually decreases as fishing level increases. They're pretty comparable. But I'm personally planning on going with agility and mining.a blue crab/cave moray fishing spot in daemonheim is a rate of 150-200k fishing/xp hour for a total of ~2k xp a fishing spot.I just do C3 solos for my earlier floors after I reset. And I figure I'll get to 99 fishing by the time I get 120 dungeoneering this way.

Grimy_Bunyip
What do you consider "low or lower levels"? <80?<90?well i mentioned low levels twice.in regards to effigies, i would never use a dragonkin lamp on a skill lower than lvl 90. in regards to fish flingers, maximum experience rate occurs at ~ lvl 40-60.any higher and lower than that and you'll get less than 20k xp per 15 minute game. Care to elaborate on fish flingers? I've never done it, but I thought it wasn't afkeable? With a good CC world, you play actively for about 3-5 minutes. Then afk for the next 10 minutes. The concept of fishing spots doesn't exist there, nor does an inventory. So you literally don't need to click anything after you cast your reel.
