October 25, 201015 yr I'm planning on mining at the LRC and was wondering which summon is most useful for overall exp there, Lava Titan or Pak Yak? Also when using a Lava Titan is it better to drop, superheat, high alch, or bank the ores? Note: I've no plan on superheating anything. Thanks for the help.
October 25, 201015 yr Lava titan is the best whether your banking or not- it makes mining a LOT faster. As far as exp per hour, it's a whole lot more efficient to superheat while you mine and then mousekeys drop the bars. If you don't know how to use mousekeys and don't want to learn, banking is probably a little faster unless you're at one of the more remote rocks. This method actually costs a bit from the natures, but the smithing exp would probably be more expensive elsewhere, and it wastes no time compared to just powermining, making it extremely efficient. Is it just as efficient to high alch the ores, or does that slow down the mining process? Also if superheating then dropping (with mousekeys) is efficient then I'd probably just drop mine there as it should be the same speed.
October 25, 201015 yr I must admit to never trying alching the bars, since my magic level was 99 when LRC came out and it seems like such a waste. However, from my experience superheating, I find that my inventory usually fills quickly enough that I wouldn't have time to alch too many of the bars. You could probably get a few in though if you want the magic exp and don't mind wasting the extra natures, and it would save a bit of time. And yeah, dropping the ores = dropping the bars, the superheating is just a means to get some sweet cheap smithing exp out of the deal. Edit: and here's the part where I finally notice your stats sitting there under the spoiler tag and feel like an idiot. You're 99 smithing, so I'm GUESSING the smithing exp doesn't interest you? Lol. October 25, 201015 yr Lava titan = Faster xpPack Yak = More convenience If you are doing a LOT of mining. You will probably want the pack yak - Filll it up, fill invent up, run to deposit box, deposit all - repeat. ~30sec round trip Otherwise you'll have to drop - which might become tedious after a while. http://www.[Caution! October 25, 201015 yr Low alching the gold bars would be better than high alch as it's half the ticks and you will mine faster than you can superheat/high alch.
October 25, 201015 yr Author Are the ticks even an issue, as one still gets ores while the high alchemy spell is operating?
October 25, 201015 yr I would just bank. It really doesn't take long. I bank, without a summon, and I average 50-55k/hr. With Lava Titan you can expect 60k+/hr
October 25, 201015 yr Personally I would just use Lava Titan and bank the ores, it's not as if the deposit is out of the way.
